1 /5 emad salman: I spoke with the owner Winnie and expressed my excitement to get my hair done with her since she did a great job when she cut my hair two months ago. Anywho, I ask her if she has any photos that she could share just to have an idea of the type of work she does with highlights.. etc. she said no and at that moment I should of taken that as a flag, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She was finishing with a client and I was noticing how welcoming and friendly she was to her. I figure the service would be the same since I had met her before and I was excited to finally get a change. I emphasized that I had a event to attend the next day so I was hopeful it would turn out if not exactly like the image at least close to what I wanted. Once it was my turn, I was trying to explain to Winnie what I wanted to get which were highlights like I was showing her in the pictures. I sent her photos of my hair before and what I ultimately wanted to aim for. Mind you the appointment was at 4:15 so keep in mind it was starting to get late and while I understand it was closer to the end of the day I was optimistic because I figure we would have more time to make sure my hair would end up how I was expecting. Once she started to do my hair it all felt so rushed and she was making minimal conversation with me. I was surprised at how quickly she put the foils in my hair and figure her technique was probably just different. Once she started to blow dry my hair I was devastated to see how it came out. It was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the images and what we talked about. It was very ash blonde and at that point I was livid. I expressed my opinion and she added the toner and yet still my hair was not nearly close to what I asked for. Even more she was doing everything with an attitude, like throwing the brushes in the sink. I asked if she had an issue when I asked to fix my hair and she was excusing herself that she was upset that the beauty supply store across from her was already closed and even if she wanted to fix it, it was no my possible. while admitting she was not satisfied with the disaster she did on my hair she continued to not make me feel comfortable. Moral of the story is if your looking to get highlights this is NOT the place to go to. My whole perspective of this place has changed due to the lack of understanding and experience from her salon. I would never go back nor would I refer anyone to go.
