I so appreciate the professional service I received getting the prognosis with photographs and videos and detailed estimate. while the cost was reasonable, the car lacked corresponding value to repair it. From the inquiry phone call to the smog technician ,the staff were really good listeners and explained clearly . The location was easy to find and away from busy city traffic making it convenient . Aaron Amaral EXCELLENT REPAIR SHOP!!! I have 4 cars and have had the following repairs done: gas pump install, head gasket replacement, suspension parts replaced on a 4x4 and a Cadillac, dash control pannels replaced, transmissions flushed, driveline work on a 4x4, cooling system repairs including radiators, thermostats, and hoses, brakes jobs, harmonic balancer replacement, starter install, interior pannel replacement, shocks, window motor, diffirential fluid changes, wheel bearings, and more Ive thrown some confounding problems at this shop such as electrical issues where other mechanics will give up, Jim at Van Ness gets to the bottom of whats going on. He takes the time to explain whats wrong and will show you the issue. His prices are very fair and Ive never had to take a repair back to be redone. I cant say enough good about this shop. Had another shop pay him to fix their mistakes..... thats how i found Van Ness Auto. The mechanics really know what theyre talking about and eventhough they are always busy, theyll make the effort to help every customer. I had 4 vehicles that all had problems..... now I have 4 cars I wouldnt hesitate to drive to New York and back. Also see a lot of people who take their classic cars to this shop. Finding techs who know how to work on classics is getting harder and harder now days. I cant say enough good things about this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The staff took care of working with my extended warranty carrier and was able to get me back on the road without too big of a hit to my pocket book.
