Community Memorial Health Center – West 5th Street

Maria Dr Garfias is such a great pediatrician. She is super nice, she answers to all my questions and concerns. Very knowledgeable. She takes the time to fully examine the kids. Thank you Dr. Garfias you are the best! Dr. Crownover was my OB and I gotta say that he is a great doctor as well! He was my OB during my pregnancies, he’s very kind. My 2 C-sections were done by him, and he did amazing. No complications during or after surgery.

Community Memorial Health Center – Ashwood Avenue

SJ Wow, where do I even begin with Dr. Gail Joseph? She is an absolute gem in the medical field! From the moment I stepped into her office, I felt like I was in the presence of someone who genuinely cared about my well-being. Her attentiveness and understanding for my health concerns were beyond anything I could have hoped for. Dr. Joseph took the time to listen to me, really listen. She didnt rush through the appointment or brush off my concerns like some doctors tend to do. Instead, she sat down with me, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel like my health was her top priority. It was such a refreshing experience to be treated with such compassion and respect. This is the experience I wish all patients could have.

Community Memorial Health Center – Saviers Road

Chris Seibel Im leaving this review because I was in a dire situation, needing a catheter to void my bladder because I am a L-1 spinal cord injury and I had left my backpack with all my medical supplies 2 hours away at home. I went to 5 other urgent cares and even several hospitals with ERs and no one would provide a simple catheter to me. Its not like I was asking for medication. Others wanted to check me in, sit and wait to be seen by a doctor. It was sad to say the least. So disappointing that these other facilties couldnt just provide that for me in great need. From the grace of God and caring of this urgent care they provided one for me! I was able to the bathroom and stay in Oxnard to watch my son play his club soccer game. Still a long drive back home but that was all I needed to enjoy the day. Thank you very much for your compassion for people in need and overlooking all the bureaucracy that prevent care for the simplest of need. Peace be with you!

Emergency Room at Dignity Health - St. Johns Regional Medical Center

Artch Yeomans On Thursday Morning around 10 AM March 21st, St Johns level of care ALWAYS exceeds my expectations from the ER triage to ER room. The nurses Nikki and the nurse filling in on her break were genuinely caring. I wished I was able to catch the other nurses name except she was so professional and caring it showed inside and out while she had business to do. I am so happy I got people who care from the guy taking me to the CT Scan which was broken but I managed to get to the other one. The fact the nurse Nikki could Instantly see I was in pain really speaks volumes. She was 100% correct. Its too easy for a Physicians assistant to assume I was okay after CT Scan showed that I had a UTi and dismissive about my pain and me passing kidney stones all night after the CT Scan. He just saw it as a UTI and maybe stones. Not cool. I asked many stones to find out theres more and not much can be done. I was still in pain but had to wait three hours in the hospital to get out just to get Vicodin from my pharmacy which is a joke at 3 hours after seeing the PA. I wouldnt mind waiting if it was an hour but 3 hours passed by after the PA had seen me. 3 hours of pain and discomfort. I would have been okay with a slow morphine shot even if they were not working well it would have helped due length of time. I will not let this lack of sympathy override what my nurses had for my well-being. Ive had a minor run in when I had my gall bladder taken out years ago here, but the nurses were my saving grace. If I could ever thank the ER triage for giving me in so quickly, I would do so. They were amazing too. Empathy kindness, and compassion are everything. All the nurses had shown great thought, good deeds, and kind words. Thank you to those who were helpful and not just merely pushing me out to get out their way and out of the hospital alone. Trust me I lost 3 thousand dollars during my stay. I really wanted to leave as much earlier as any person who lacks compassion for others to get them out ASAP. If I know if this is the mentality then so do other patients. That is a terrible model that goes against the essence of your hospitals motto. Ive been here for some emergencies and surgeries to know better. This place is above AMAZING because of Nikki.and her assistant nurse. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my wife thanks you too. Nikki and your fill in nurse ROCK. Raises are due. What great attitudes. I love it. Who wouldnt?
