5 /5 arwen_amelie: I have attended Berean for six years now, and have grown so much here. When I first came, people in the congregation did not treat me like a stranger, but went out of their way to make sure I had someone to sit with, and really welcomed me and even took me to lunch and involved themselves in my life. They intentionally seek out those who are new so they dont get lost in the cracks, but rather quickly integrated and taught, fed Gods Word so maturity grows, and you may then reach out to others in the same way. Gods Word is held in very high esteem at this place of worship, and God is at the center of our worship here, not man. You will come away with an awe for the only Holy God that challenges you to love and live for Him, which then overflows in the way you interact with others (there is a lot of gospel & medical outreach going on in this church to the needy, both locally and especially in dangerous regions of the world where our help is desperately needed, and the church always pulls together when there is tragedy in someones life [too many to name, Ive been here for years], so I dont know what the commenter George was referring to). You will understand more about what Christs sacrifice on the cross accomplished for you, and how that plays out in your day-to-day walk with the Lord. There are no gimmicks, no marketing, no manipulation; the pastors here do not focus on numbers and "business methods," and they are not trying to water down the care of your soul by making their teaching superficial and easy to swallow. Rather, the pastors here care deeply that you are ministered to by the Holy Spirit working through the inspired Word of God, and they will love you enough to stir you up and challenge you to live for the Lord Jesus Christ. They will not only challenge you, but equip you with truth, wisdom, community, and love to run the race along side this congregation of imperfect sinners who desire to be continually taught and made useful for the Master. No church is perfect because no one is perfect on this side of Heaven, but this is an excellent place to grow in your relationship to Jesus Christ, and His Body, the Church.
"and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near."
Hebrews 10:24-25
