1 /5 Molly Beetz: really hate leaving bad reviews but I truly have never had such a disappointing experience. I saw they had only 5 star reviews so I trusted that they knew what they were doing but Im honestly so disappointed and I wish I would have not gone here.
the salon was nice and the ladies were super sweet, but these were some of the worst nails Ive ever gotten. some issues I have:
- I showed them a super simple nail design that I wanted and they said it was too difficult and they couldnt do it.
- I then asked for chrome French tip and they said no just do the full nail chrome, so I did, even though thats not at all what I went in there wanting
- my nail tech was shaping the nails and repeatedly filed the nails down so they were completely uneven/lopsided and significantly shorter on one hand than the other. she also didnt fix them on her own, I had to ask her multiple times to fix them and make them even.
- when she was fixing them, she added more gel to some nails since she filed way too much of the nail off, but after she put globs of gel on she literally didnt file it down at all or shape the gel, so half of my nails looked fine, half of them were lumpy and even creased because she didnt fix the gel she put on. also half of the nails were coated with gel on the underside and were extremely chunky while others looked how theyre supposed to look. also, even after she added the gel, the nails were still different lengths on each hand and were not the same shape. the attached pic was the day I got them done, you can see how the chrome is just glitter on some fingers, and the middle nail is thick and creased and not shaped well at all.
- the chrome on some of the nails wasnt properly put on and looked like glitter rather than chrome
- for a simple set of gels nails with chrome, you can go to literally any other salon and receive better looking nails for like $40-70, they charged me $170 without tip for nails that did not look good or even at all. the price they charged for extremely simple gelx nails was actually insane and not worth it at all, especially considering they couldnt shape them, apply chrome correctly, or do extremely simple nail art
- I was there for THREE HOURS. I didnt have the time to ask her to fix half of my nails because I had another appointment to get to but there is no reasonable explanation as to why it took her that long to do my nails when it was a simple all over chrome. there was no design, no nail art, they were medium length, like it was truly ridiculous
- I wasnt going to leave this review, but what made me end up posting this is because 8 days after I got them done, the top coat and chrome started chipping off half of my nails and the nails started pulling up from my nail beds. exactly 2 weeks after I got the nails put on, one of the nails fell off, and the next day 2 more nails fell off first thing in the morning. given the price they charge and how ridiculously long it took them to put the nails on, Im floored that they didnt even last longer than 2 weeks. gelx nails typically last me 5-6 weeks with no issues, but this set was a complete waste of time and money.
again, hate to leave a bad review, but not only would I not recommend this place, I would actively avoid coming here. not worth it at all.
