Unlike every other dentist I’ve been to, this office wouldn’t do my X-rays and cleaning on the same day, which was highly inconvenient and not transparent. What really bothered me, though, was that I was told I couldn’t get a standard cleaning unless I paid out of pocket for Atridox, a specialized antibiotic treatment that my insurance doesn’t cover. I’ve never had a dentist refuse to clean my teeth unless I paid for an extra service.
On the positive side, the front desk receptionist was nice, although they didn’t seem interested in finding a solution that worked for me. The dentist was knowledgeable and kind, but by the end of the visit, I felt misled and pressured into paying for something I didn’t think was necessary.
I understand that every office has its own policies, but this experience didn’t feel very patient-centered. After reading so many positive reviews, I was excited to finally find a dentist who truly prioritizes working with patients. While my experience may have been an exception, I felt it was important to share my honest feedback about the discomfort and frustration I encountered.
