1 /5 toto a: This review is on the lack of customer care and professional service. I have been a customer of Art & Gold for years. I had a 9:30am appt. I had been advised at 3am to take my daughter to urgent care first thing in the morning to be tested. I called the salon several times, but didnt get through. At 9:24am they answered. I told them the situation, and they did not care whatsoever about helping find a resolution or about my daughter. This surprised me given how long Ive been going to this salon. I asked if there could be any accommodations, a later appt., shortened (I was seeking a root touch-up, nothing else, no blow-dry, etc.). Asked if anyone else could see me. I was very flexible. They told me I waited to call right before my appt. (not true, Id been calling all morning, and have a phone log as proof). Received a very curt "a policy is a policy" and no assistance. No care. Charged me the full amount of the appt. Lets add that its the holidays, an expensive time of year, and now adding medical expenses...this level of heartlessness from reception and lack of class or any sign of trying to accommodate is so unfamiliar to me. Especially when other stylists had openings. There are opportunities to care and help, but they chose to take the $ and not provide any customer service or resolution.
