5 /5 marissa viscomi: The bad reviews on Dr. Gorwara genuinely frustrate me because if it werent for Dr. Gorwara, my health would likely be in a very different place. When I faced an unexpected and terrible medical situation, I saw many different doctors, from specialists, to urgent care visits, to ERs — and Dr. Gorwara was the only one who got it right, and treated me accordingly. It only took her one visit to let me know what was happening with me. While it wasnt the news I may have wanted to hear, I am so grateful I had her to figure out what so many others couldnt. And not only was she a good doctor in that moment, but she even cared enough to have my back and call the other doctors I had seen that messed up my diagnosis. She truly cares and shes good at what she does. Highly recommend Dr. Gorwara and am so grateful for her care.

5 /5 Jess Harris: Dr Gorwara saw my daughter last year 2017, and she was great! Her bedside manner and follow through was amazing. My daughter was 11 at the time, and Dr Gorwara made her feel so comfortable. Amazing doctor all around! I wouldnt trade her for the world. The legal action comment below, are you sure this was the same doctor?

5 /5 Julie Schaeffer: AMAZING- knowledgeable, takes time to explain and answer questions. Doctor shows interest, is practical and does not rush you. She is renowned, experienced, caring, kind, and thorough. Absolutely the best doctor on the Westside- so grateful!!

1 /5 Kiana Stevens: If I could rate the staff and the doctor separately I would. The staff was very polite, kind and helpful both on the phone and in person. However, Dr Gorwara was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was just recently vaccinated but tested positive for covid this past Monday in her office. She came in saying “positive!” With such excitement as if it was good news. Then in a really aggressive tone said “ I don’t know why you wouldn’t have gotten vaccinated sooner?!” So I explained to her that I had been nervous about getting the vaccine sooner because of all the unknowns and that my mother is super anti-vaccine and scared me with videos and that it took a lot for me to finally get it when I did. She then replied (again in a horrible tone) “Well you’re 29 years old, you can make your own decisions without listening to your mother!”.. so then I let her know (in the same, polite tone I held the entire time) that if she knew my mother, she would understand my dilemma. After that I asked for advice on what I should do while at home to help with symptoms and she said “stay home so that you don’t ruin it for everybody else”. I replied “of course, but is there anything I should take to help?” She had no answer for me other than to rest.. I happened to be in the room with my 6 year old and so I then asked Dr Gorwara if she would give her a covid test and she refused saying she definitely has it if you have it. After zero help from this Dr, we left and went home. My daughters father took her to get tested and it came back negative-such a relief. I don’t know what this woman’s problem is or why she thinks it’s okay to treat patients like this. I would understand if I had been difficult but I was extremely calm and polite to her despite her behavior the entire time.

5 /5 Simone Press: Felt like I needed to weigh in here after a barrage of negative reviews. Im a patient of Dr Gorwaras and shes absolutely fantastic. Very, very knowledgeable, confident in her opinions and an easy person to communicate with. Shes also very astute on all things COVID at the moment - and has a really practical approach (and perspective) on everything going on. Ive also sent her several messages via MyChart and shes always responded super quickly, with helpful feedback - or just clear instructions. In terms of her communication style specifically - I actually have found her to be incredibly personable. Its really hard finding a doctor that is a straight shooter, doesnt beat around the bush and values her patients. Its not always about sitting in a doctors office and hearing what you want to hear - sometimes its about listening to a professional weigh different methodologies, ideas and perspectives. If I had questions shes always been very respectful - and its especially exciting and inspirational to have a female doctor of color. Very impressed with Dr Gorwara. The only negative bit of feedback is that it takes her office (and the admin team) WEEKS to figure out referrals. As someone with an HMO plan - I feel like Ive had to call and remind the referral person 3-4 times to get something into the system. They need to start performance managing the person that does referrals because its becoming a real pain constantly having to reach out and ask about something as necessary as a referral.
