5 /5 Len Handeland: I only discovered this salon after my hairstylist, Sam Harris, relocated here after working in another hair salon in Palm Springs that seemed to be going downhill fast. This salons atmosphere is warm and inviting while remaining hip. I love how it is decorated in mostly white which is very current!
I have known Sam Harris for over 20 years. Sam was a former assistant of mine when I owned a 14-chair hair salon in San Franciscos Union Square, where he and I lived at the time. Sam has been a full-fledged hairstylist, hair colorist, and straightening expert for quite some time. I reconnected with him once my husband and I moved from the Bay area to Palm Springs, where Sam had relocated to 3-4 years prior.
Each time I voice my satisfaction with the work he does to my hair at the end of each appointment, his reply is, "I learned from the best," (as he trained directly under me and a few of the other senior stylists at my former salon). That may be true, but some stylists take shortcuts after theyve been in the industry for a while. But not Sam! Every haircut has been meticulous, as well as the other services Ive received, including low lighting my hair and chemically straightening my hair (Yes, I have A LOT of work done to my hair). He takes extreme pride in his work, and it shows!
Im always pleased and walk out of the salon looking like a million dollars and ready to take on the world! Besides Sams technical hair abilities and training, hes extremely nice, talkative, and personable. If your current hairstylist isnt providing you with a stellar hair experience or is, and isnt pleasant to deal with, then, by all means, switch to Sam. Youll be glad you did! Take it from a former hairstylist and salon owner who has VERY discriminating taste!
