ivann albanes Unfortunately everything was going well for my father of 82 years of age, until based on our upbringing and religion believe we to make decisions that went against what the team of doctors wanted us to choose. From that moment on the whole staff became very snappy with the whole family over the phone and in person. Every time we call now they never have time to update us well on how my father is doing. My father has a few days of life and they are refusing to let my mom see him through a window when a few days earlier the doctors themselves had suggested that to make my dad hopefully better. Their professionalism and kindness towards members loosing their family is absolutely on the floor, unless you do as they suggest. Promises that were made to the family were suddenly not allowed any more. And now we have our dad dying and his wife of 65 years is unable to see him through a glass as she was promised. Because we refuse the treatment the doctors suggested. And even the nurses are being short, distant and with no remorse when we call for updates.

Daniel Rissman I’ve had so many bad experiences with hospitals but not ucsf! Katrina was so lovely and helped me immensely - I truly feel cared for. Thank you!

Claire Whitlatch The doctor I was assigned to here has done the bare minimum. Didnt ask about any of my symptoms or health history, just looked at bloodwork and perscribed synthroid. I asked to add TPO antibody testing (comes standard on a Quest Diagnostics Thyroid Panel) and he will not. He said UCSF doesnt monitor TPO antibodies and cant do anything for Hashimotos. He then set the message so I could not reply...Some bedside manner. Its clear this doctor could care less about whats actually wrong with his patients and help them. Im also shocked at how closed minded this doctor is at UCSF (a research hospital that is supposedly top notch).

Johanna Bean I have been seeing Dr. Aggarwal for a year or so. I find her to be compassionate, knowledgable, and open to any questions or concerns I have about my RA. She responds quickly to emails, is available for video visits, and is always pleasant. The staff is always helpful and nice, which I really appreciate. I would highly recommend Dr. Aggarwal.

Anne McNiel If I could give negative stars for the staff here, I would. Which is a shame because Dr Aggarwal is wonderful, and spent a significant amount of time with me during my first visit and would definitely recommend her as a provider. But the staff…wow. I have never interacted with an office as poorly managed and staffed as this one. They are rude, “don’t leave voicemails” (so better be tethered to your phone at all times!), and don’t seem to know how to properly submit a prior authorization correctly. And they never give the name of the person you’re talking to so you end up explaining things multiple times to different people because you never know who you are talking to. They only call you back at the end of the day when they need more information from you, which leaves you no time to follow up with your own insurance/etc so you lose yet another day of progress. It’s clear that the management doesn’t read these reviews since these same types of comments have been posted here for years. As soon as I can get in to another rheumatology office I will transfer.

Nino B. Came here for a profusely bleeding hand injury as this was closest hospital. Triage nurse was really nice. Waited in the ER waiting room for another 2 hours before being seen by the Physician Assistant on duty. The nurse with her seemed relatively new and was being trained. I realize financial constraints may have impacted staffing resulting in the long wait time. Overall, staff are friendly, but I would hesitate to come here for anything more complex or serious.

Ana Banana Great staff - doctors, nurses, therapists are all caring, warm, hardworking, and always available in the ICU for my husband. They are staffed well. They have time to get to know their patients. Unlike other hospitals and clinics, Seton is spacious and well staffed unlike other hospitals in nearby cities that are over crowded. I’m glad we ended up here. only because other hospitals are full. This place is a gem. I will consider switching to Seton Hospital for all my health needs, too

Vesta UCSF Otolaryngology: impossible to schedule an appt with an ENT at their Sutter location. The first time the scheduler booked an appt for a provider in Redwood City (4 hours driving time RT) despite my request for Sutter Street location. I even confirmed the location before ending the call. 5 phone calls later, still getting the runaround ("Well call you back...")-who knows when? None of their return phone numbers connect. Ive been a patient at UCSF for over a decade. The evil empire strikes again!

Marie Deschênes The doctor didn’t show up to my appointment, her assistant did instead. She was quick to diagnose not much and sent me home with nasal sprays that didn’t work. I was expecting to see the doctor later but when I tried to book they said “No you’ve already been seen.” I’m still dealing with the same issues months later. Just got another order, will go somewhere else.

Anthony V Disgustingly irresponsible! This place is like the KMart of dental schools. The students are okay, but everyone else is in a bad mood. There is no respect and dignity towards their patients. If you want to feel desperate and like you don’t deserve to be treated well, then go here.

Nishant Motwani Theres a reason I am giving this clinic 5 starts, bear with me. Yes, the front desk doesnt return the calls a lot, yes, the clinic doesnt process insurance, yes, it speaks volumes. However, Dr Roberta Jurash and Dr Jennifer Buchanan are amazing amazing professionals who have been the only doctors to have been able to help me with TMJD, I have spent a lot of money on cures before this, and not much improvement earlier. Just because the doctors are so awesome, and from what I hear these doctors are new to the clinic though incredibly incredibly experienced otherwise, give them a chance. They care incredibly and often spent event an hour with me, sometimes both of them together, working on my treatment. IMO, these doctors deserve a better reception and claims processing process, but I go through those pains for the incredible care.
