Dawn Lockwood My husband and I joined Pac City 18 months ago after 22 years in the same fellowship of churches. What stood out to us… 1. Chris, Nicki, and the leadership team imitate Jesus in their lives - fostering community, building family, and meeting people where they are at in their faith. 2. Chris’s sermons are relatable and relevant to real world topics. 3. There is something for everyone. Join a community group, the pickleball crew, and more. Our family is grateful to be part of this fellowship and the work that God is doing here in the Westside.

Erin Hegarty lovely church. Really enjoyed the service. Very traditional. Loved the stained glass windows, organ, and live choir. Ministers seemed genuinely loving and welcoming to anyone regardless of demographic, appearance, orientation, etc. Seems like the perfect place for an Advent service. Also, you can park in the garage across the street for free till noon.

BRUCE D Teter What a super music program. With the new choir/music director and an renovated organ, the music is inspiring and varied in style. I cant wait for the Handels Messiah concert and sing-a-long with a Baroque orchestra - such a rare treat to hear true Baroque instruments, and historically-informed style.

You leave church feeling uplifted and feeling you are not alone; you have someone who cares and will walk with you through any issues you may have. Give it a try!!

Cheryl Garrido SoLA has been an amazing place to worship on Sunday mornings. I had been unchurched for over 10 years looking for a place that would accept ME and my wife. Sola was just that place. They welcomed us with open arms and an open heart. They don’t focus on our “lifestyle” but help me focus on my relationship with God! The teaching is outstanding! My knowledge has grown leaps and bounds as well as my relationship with Jesus. This doesn’t feel churchy but more like a warm hug full of loving people, who love God. We are small now, but HUGE in love, support and acceptance. Check it out!

Tiny Yorkie NoNoZoZo This church is a hidden gem!!! They’ve just started this church and it meets in the Joslyn Park Auditorium-adjacent to the dog park. The teaching is world class-biblically solid, insightful, with lots of application. The worship is excellent! Don’t judge by its small beginnings, this church is going to grow! It’s welcoming to ALL, and the people are so warm and friendly. They even have an area for people to enjoy the service outside, with their dogs, under a canopy. The children’s ministry is adorable. Parking is plentiful on 7th street, between Kensington and Strand. Sola Church is a MUST visit, you won’t be disappointed!!!

I came for midnight Christmas Eve mass and it was full in the main chapel. I am glad I came just 20 minutes before it started. Glad to see so many brothers and sisters celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. It is a joyful season and a peaceful mass.

jkmelano I have visited First Pres Santa Monica several times with my family, and was filled with hope and happiness every time. Pastor Bill Wood is modern, compassionate and optimistic, and the dedicated members of First Pres feel like a family. Having attended a more ‘traditional’ church as a child, attending First Pres Santa Monica was a breath of fresh air. Although traditional values hold true, this congregation is not afraid to look the future in the eye and practice the teachings of the Bible with an open mind more suited to today’s environment: passion, preservation, love, family, and acceptance.

Joshua Montross One of the best things about this church is David and Marlin keeping it safe and politely interacting with the passersby. Also, alpha is a wonderful program to discuss beliefs, and it has amazing snacks with free wine and sandwiches on Tuesdays. Highly recommended church. The preacher has a British accent also. This is the most well marketed Christianity in Los Angeles.

Winston Davenport Visiting Vintage Church in Santa Monica was one of the most unexpectedly moving experiences of my time in LA. I attended a Sunday morning service not knowing what to expect, and was immediately struck by how warm and welcoming everyone was—genuinely friendly, not performative. The worship was heartfelt without being overproduced, and the space itself had this raw, authentic energy that made it feel more like a gathering of real people than a performance. The teaching was thoughtful, grounded, and deeply resonant without being preachy or overly polished. It felt like a place where people are invited to be honest about their questions, not just recite answers. I left feeling centered, encouraged, and surprisingly emotional. Whether you’re a longtime believer or just spiritually curious, Vintage is the kind of place that feels open, human, and real.
