Tiffany Potts I would highly recommend Dr. Heidari. I’ve been seeing her for about 13 years for multiple sclerosis, and I fully trust her as my neurologist. She is very knowledgeable and thorough—much more so than my previous neurologist. I believe she gives me the best care she can. The front office staff is always kind and welcoming, and her office is clean and modern.

Christine Gonzales Dr Heidari is so thorough and makes sure you feel heard. Very happy to be under her care as we navigate through my health issues. The staff is very kind as well. 10/10 recommend her!!

Jen Scott I had my first appointment at Clinicas with Christina Pech and I could not have been happier with the care I received. I’ve been experiencing some scary medical issues that I have been desperately trying to figure out. I’ve been to one urgent care and 4 hospitals in the last week and have been turned away with no answers. She was very thorough as she ran several test and is referring me out to specialist while making sure they run additional tests to figure out what is going on with me. I am extremely hopeful that this will bring about answers.

Paola Chavez I’m deeply disappointed with both the company and Dr. Christina Pech. Clinicas’s mission needs serious reevaluation because it’s clear they are not providing quality care for the underserved population of Ventura County. A major issue across all Clinicas clinics is the constant turnover of doctors, leaving patients frustrated, and forced to start over with their health journeys. On top of that, scheduling an appointment is incredibly frustrating, often taking 3-4 months just to receive care. My specific complaint with this clinic is the incomprehension action from Dr. Christina Pech. My moms appointment was declined because she was 7 minutes late. While the receptionist initially accepted her, she later informed my mom that Dr. Pech decided not to see her due to the delay. My mom explained she was late because of traffic, not negligence, and understood if it had been 10 minutes or more. However, refusing to see her for a 7-minute delay, with zero compassion, completely contradicts Clinicass stated value of "where excellence meets compassion." The receptionist was kind and respectful, clearly wishing she could help but she had to follow the doctors orders. It’s disheartening that Dr. Pech showed no understanding or empathy—not only towards my mom but also towards her coworkers, who then have to handle the negative fallout from patients due to the doctor’s rigid decisions. If doctors expect patients to wait over 30 minutes in the waiting room, they should extend the same courtesy for minor delays too. Compassion and understanding are essential qualities for healthcare providers and unfortunately, this experience proves that the doctor does not align with Clinicas work values.

Eduardo Martinez I’ve been coming to see Dr. Smith for many years and I like him and his assistant very much ,,is the lady at the front desk who doesn’t realize that she’s providing a service and not doing anyone a favor by being there that I have a problem with. Her attitude is condescending and incompetent and it’s because of her that I am not planning on going back. I hope Dr. Smith can understand and for you reading this. I wish you luck dealing with the front desk, lady. In my opinion, I should feel welcome and valuable to anyone. I’m paying to for a service.

K M Dr. Dean Smith and Channel Islands Medical group are great caregivers. Have seen Dr. Dean and his nurse, Dana, for years and they both provide top-notch care. His front desk staff always manage to squeeze me into their schedule quickly when Im ill. Have had extensive discussions with both Dr. Dean and Dana about my condition over the years, which requires regular treatment. Both are eager to learn about their patients experiences and it shows. Dr. Dean has had student doctors come into my exam room a number of times over the years so they can learn as well. Hes always super respectful about it and always asks me if Im comfortable with them joining him during my exam. 10/10, he is one of the two best medical providers Ive encountered all across the US over the years.

Marlene Demattei The two young ladies in the front were very pleasant. The waiting time was great. I only had to wait about 15 minutes. I saw Sean, I’m not sure if he’s a PA or a doctor. He was great. Nurse Amanda, such a sweetheart. She showed me how to use the crutches and helped me get to my car.

Adileine Rodriguez I had an excellent experience at Ventura Urgent Care. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and I barely had to wait before being seen. The medical team went above and beyond to address my concerns. They were knowledgeable, patient, and made sure I fully understood my diagnosis and treatment options. The facility was clean, well-organized, and felt welcoming, which made the whole experience much more comfortable. I truly appreciate the care and compassion I received during a stressful time. I would highly recommend Ventura Urgent Care to anyone in need of prompt and quality medical care. Thank you for taking such great care of me!

David Mendoza I visited this clinic in regard to treatment my mother in law needed for her TB, Upon Arriving I was mistreated and spoken to with a tone of disrespect from “ Melissa”! She didn’t give my concern any importance all she said was “ we only do appointment”! And we will call you. As a Business Banker who works with practice finance, I will make sure to spread the word on the behavior of the staff at this location. I recommend that management should encourage people skills classes or perhaps ask if she is dissatisfied with her role to find the root cause to better her performance. Please acknowledge my concern and I hope and pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else!

grandedavid2 I was late to my allergy appointment and the worker there decided to stay into her lunchtime so she can make sure that I got my allergy shot. It was my fault and she went above and beyond to help me when I could not have come back later in the afternoon. So so thankful!

Dee ALD Dr. Bose listened to all of my concerns. I was really happy with his plan of action in trying to find a resolution to all my issues.

Ciera Roots The best. Have gone here for 20 years and have always had the best care with Dr. Gustafson. He is confident, knowledgable and makes you feel at ease. I was fortunate enough to have him deliver my baby as well and was so very happy that he was the doctor there with me and my husband since I have been a patient for so long. We have since moved out of the area but I still recommend this office and will always be so thankful for them!

Krystal I had a pleasant experience completing my PAP and Annual Womens Health Exam with Dr. Richard Reisman. It is refreshing to find a comfortable, local office to work with. Each team member was helpful and nice. Dr. Reisman was friendly, professional and kind.

Josh Cottrell Avoid this place. Absolutely terrible service. Appointments are canceled last minute and the office will just pass you around to schedule a new appointment. The person on the phone was one of the rudest people that will talk over you and tell you excuse me while you are talking. If you want to see a new provider because the ones you get doesnt work out you will have to wait months because you are concidered a new patient again and they will only see 2 new patients a day. Save yourself the headache a go somewhere else.

Samantha MARTIN Please, expecting mothers - Do not step foot inside this provider. I found out I was expecting in August 2024. At my 7 week appointment they would not do my blood work for confirm the pregnancy until I begged them at which they never uploaded the results of the test. Fast forward, I start experiencing bleeding which CAN be normal in early pregnancy but I kept calling and letting them know something was wrong to which they kept referring me to the ER. At my 9 week appointment, I saw my baby and felt relief. 5 days later my baby passed away. If this office had any brains and had taken the time to talk to me they would have known that the baby stopped growing as it was measuring behind and I do not ovulation “late,” which is what they chalked it up to. I found out again in February 2025 I was expecting again but that turned out to be a chemical pregnancy. To avoid an ER trip because not everyone has 4 hours to sit around in an ER, it took pulling teeth to get an appointment. I miscarried on a Sunday and made an appointment on Monday. FIVE HOURS before this appointment the office CANCELED. Okay… I call to see if they can fit me in at all today after explaining the situation. I’m on hold with scheduling, they tell me they are transferring me. My call is transferred and the new person on the phone has no idea what I’m talking about and refers me to scheduling. I WAS JUST ON THE PHONE WITH THEM, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SENT ME PHONE CALL TO YOU!!! After explaining the situation once more (I’ve had a miscarriage, I don’t know if everything has passed, Etc.) the receptionist was BEYOND RUDE. She cut me off after explaining the situation by saying, “You made this appointment two days ago.” I was stunned and confused… I had the miscarriage two days ago and that’s when I made this appointment….? To which she DIMINISHED what I was experiencing by asking, “are you bleeding heavily?” Or “are you saturating a full pad every hour?” I had a miscarriage, I’ve been bleeding for days and I needed to see someone but to this office, that woman at reception, it was nothing. She wouldn’t even try to look and fit me in the schedule that day. She kept cutting me off to which I explained that their office was a disappointment. It’s wild to believe that in 2025 after years of talking about woman not receiving the same treatment as men, that a office that SPECIALIZES in taking care of women and expecting women would be so callous to someone who has now lost two wanted babies. Please find an office that cares about you, your health, your wellbeing, your concerns and your losses.

Lisa Ayre-Smith I can understand the frustration about folks calling, but Ive only had problems getting through during the worst of COVID. This office is very busy. Suggestions are to use the Dignity Health patient portal to message your doctors medical assistant, and to always schedule your next appointment at the time of the prior appointment. I love the support staff here and have always found them positive and helpful. They work really hard and do the best they can! These are tough times for anyone working in a medical office! Literally everyone is understaffed, overwhelmed, and overworked right now. Dr. Dickey is an amazing doctor and really listens. Hes very savvy about trialing new meds (conservative but exploratory). He is up to date on current research and treats the whole person. He works a lot with veterans and is familiar with the issues commonly facing that population. Hes relatable and hilarious and always respectful of women.

Sue Turner Dr. Dickey is a caring doctor who takes time to listen and sets goals together with his patients for their well being.

Sam One of the Receptionist named Alicia that works here has done a horrible job!!! Every time I’ve called to make an appointment for my grandmother, she never contact the right primary doctor nor does she notifed the doctor about the appointment. I’ve gone twice and was refused entry on the days I had appointments because they were closed. They didn’t let me know ahead of time and they could’ve rescheduled me for another day. Don’t recommend anyone come here nor does the Receptionist Alicia should be fired for her behavior and unprofessionalism. I hope no one has had this happened to them.

Amber Butcher I have received the best medical care. Dr. Powell is absolutely amazing and truly cares for the well-being of his patients. He takes the time to listen and get to know the patient so that he can fully help them. I appreciate him and his staff so much. Five stars just is not enough! I would give them a 10/10!

Patricia Lovato My son should have started physical therapy three weeks ago but no one in the office can seem to handle the paperwork. I just called again and they lost the order. This is the same order they forgot to put in three weeks ago. The worst part of THEY made me feel like a horrible mom because my son hadn’t started PT. Then the nurse came back in very sheepish and said oh haha we didn’t put the order in. We will call within a week with his appointment. It’s been ten days. Orders are lost again. Still no appointment This place needs help

tara sadeghian Do not choose this medical center. I’m a Diabetic patient. My endocrinologist is Dr Joseph Pinzone. I ran out of my test strips( the most basic medical supply for Diabetes). It’s been 10 days now that I keep calling and calling explaining how critical this supply is. I still haven’t got my test strips! Don’t choose them unless you wanna end up admitting to a hospital

They have a problem with their phone options circling around with no one answering and returning to the beginning. I have told the receptionist, office manager, doctors, and even called the corporate owners. They don’t care! Look at Yelp for similar reviews.

Taryn Beckett I figured I would write this review after receiving an automated email to detail my experience on their internal platform. Dr. Donald Miller was very nice and knowledgeable. He pointed me in the proper direction regarding the health issues I am having. An employee there named Daisy however ( unsure if she is an RN or Assistant ,etc) is my only complaint about this visit. Perhaps Daily was simply having a bad day (which we are all afforded in life) . If not, she should not be working as a healthcare leader, or as a health care representative who deals with people at all. I approached Daisy with a very friendly demeanor.. asking 1 simple question about lab work and when to get my labs taken. ( This stuff can be confusing, can it not?) For some reason, Daisy could not hide her annoyance with my curiosity about where and when to go. The vetting process in health care agencies need to be at the highest standard. I would never go to a facility like this with an employee like this- as I should never be scared to inquire on the best steps to take for my health. I really despite leaving google reviews- but in this industry, it is appalling to be met with disdain, especially when you are simply approaching a healthcare professional with a friendly demeanor and question. As a Chief Operating Officer and leader of a company myself, too often a bad apple like this will ruin a businesses reputation. Hopefully she was just having a bad day!

Kathleen Wood I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Krause today. She was very non-sympathetic and had zero empathy towards the situation I was going through regarding test results that came in. You could tell she just wanted to be done with her day.

Emily Romero I recently saw Dr.Magee at midtown clinic, she had explained to me in depth what goes on with the body and how she was going to be able to help me. I haven’t encountered a doctor like her ! She was the best at what she did , i told her she is a magician! My back pain has been very debilitating for me and she was able to help me just with one visit for therapy. I appreciate her & the staff at midtown!

Sarah Millikin DO NOT GO HERE FOR MENTAL HEALTH CARE “Dr.” Daniel J Firer was horrid to work with. His actions were abhorrent. I went in for 3 medication refills. I was put in the hallway on a gurney, mind you it was not busy. I came in for 3 medications. I handed him my entire medical records files and showed him the prescription bottles that I needed refilled. He didn’t ask me my mental health condition, or anything actually. For one of the medications he said that “he wasn’t comfortable” prescribing a 2 week supply of an anti-depressant SARI, Which is a NON controlled substance. He handed back my file, without reading a word of it. He put it in my hand and I let it slip out. I didn’t know what to do. I asked to see the on call psychiatrist. There isn’t one there. Even though mental health is medical care. I was taken aback. I showed him the other 2 medications. I questioned him on why he wouldn’t fill the first one. I started to have a panic attack. I said that I wanted to leave and what did I need to do to finish up to get the scripts. He said “well, I’m at your service” and left. He came back and handed me back the bottles. He called them in to a pharmacy but he didn’t tell me which one. I asked him if he even knew my diagnosis. He cut me off and said that I was unprofessional, that he refuses to be talked to me further. I’m the patient, he’s the Dr. I’m not the one who needs to be professional. I was needing medical care and denied it. We had a 2 minute conversation. I didn’t raise my voice, I didn’t call names or curse. I questioned him. Period. DO NOT GO HERE.

S Gomez They should not be allowed to make you feel like a criminal by walking through security and having your bags searched. If this is an issue of safety they need to have this type of protection for schools, not hospitals. They will not take you if you refuse to scan through which is a lawsuit in itself for refusing medical treatment. You are automatically considered guilty of having contraband items before you even walk in. It’s insulting. If my doctor wasn’t a County doctor, I wouldn’t come here. CMH does not treat their patients like this. Go there instead if you can. VCMC ER is nasty ghetto.

MisterBucks MoreBucks I come in with my mother to the Emergency room, waiting behind a doctor too finish his conversation and literally jest about other patients that have entered. And the nurses or receptionist always laughing and always to be seem to have a good time while I sit here waiting 1 hour and more to get my mother seen! I tried to be polite to interrupt their conversation, when I was rudely over looked so they may continue their playful unprofessional conversation. I had to point out my moms major illness to get their attention. This hospital will not take you seriously.

Nicole Madison Horrible service from reception here. I have worked in reception, in the service & hospitality industry, and working with the general public for over a decade. I know how difficult people can be to work with, so keeping that in mind I really appreciate receptionists and am respectful and courteous whenever I make a phone call. This is the second time here when Ive been blown away by the rudeness with the same receptionist. Ive called to schedule a simple appointment and had such a hostile, negative attitude on the phone Im honestly shocked. I guarantee any other establishment would fire someone on the spot for the way Ive heard her talking to people. This last time I called I put it on speaker and both my husband and in laws were incredulous at the way I was spoken too. We are now looking to speak to management and file a complaint, I understand working directly with customers may not be for everyone but if you are upset while you are working its completely inappropriate to verbally take that out on a completely unsuspecting client.
