Tori Barros I was without insurance and needed a primary care appointment for an upcoming job and came across Carbon Health. They were great. I was able to book an appointment within a few hours with virtually no wait time once in the clinic. They were very transparent on their pricing both on the phone and in the clinic and discussed my options with me. Additionally their staff was friendly and the place clean and Covid friendly. I would definitely choose them again if I was in that unfortunate position again.

Elaina Gray I was so pleasantly surprised - amazing overall! The receptionist / front technician was really friendly, informative, and just put me at ease. It wasn’t busy at all. I came a few minutes before my appointment and was able to immediately check in. There was no wait time from checking in to being escorted to a room. They let my partner accompany me into to the room. Once in the room, we were immediately seen by a nurse and promptly our provider. I felt our provider really actively listened to me, included my partner and made sure her questions were answered too, and really assured I understood everything we covered. She even had a pride sticker on her laptop which made me feel safe. I rarely walk away from a doctor office feeling impressed, let alone wanting to leave a review, but this truly was a great experience!

X *Urgent Care isn’t available at this location until early March!* The person I spoke to at the front desk was very kind and helpful, but I then had to ride my bike while sick to the other location, so just want people to be aware. Their website & google maps all say they take walk-ins but right now they’re only providing primary care.

Diana Alv The positive : very clean and Was seen really quickly & the staff are very kind . the negative : didn’t feel like my NP listened to what I asked for . Ordered a test I didn’t want even though I was specific in what I needed (sputum test) . Ordered medications that did not at all treat me . Been struggling with pneumonia for 3 months & still struggling because the correct tests aren’t done. Wasted about $500 to still be sick.

Maureen Park This was my first appointment with Dr. Judy Chang-Witt, and my experience exceeded expectations! She is both thorough and efficient, super smart and so kind. I appreciate her gentle, calming voice. She listened to me and systematically addressed all my concerns, ordered labs, referred me to Physical Therapy (PT), and even printed my doctor’s note all within 20 minutes. I underwent my blood tests immediately after our visit. The next day (!), she messaged me with my lab results and further instructions. I have scheduled my PT Appointments and look forward to working with my Kaiser providers to maintain and even improve my health in 2025. I am someone who tries to avoid attending medical appointments. Dr. Chang-Witt inspires me to prioritize my health, and I’m so glad she’s my doctor! Kaiser is very lucky to have recruited her.

Solène Delecourt I had an appointment at this practice with Dr Lauren Pallis, MD. I felt very well taken care of, and listened to. This is a practice where they actually CARE for you. This is NOT your typical US medical practice, where you are rushed from hand to hand (from nursing assistant to nurse), and spend 5 minutes max with the doctor, who is mainly reading their computer and not even looking at you. This is a medical practice where the doctor talks and listens to you. Additionally, its not the most important, but it does matter: the physical space is incredibly tasteful, with lots of natural light, and beautiful artwork. It does matter because it makes you feel at ease and relaxed, and thats already the beginning of care.

I am very pleased and impressed with the friendly attention he brought and the quality of his assessment of my injured hand. I look forward to having him as my doctor for annual checkups and when I have medical issues.

Anuar RM Re: ER Services. We first went to another hospital nearby and the receptionist told us unsympathetically and almost sarcastically that it would be a “nice little wait of 2 hours plus.” The waiting room was dark and sad. While my wife checked in I immediately called CPMC Davis and an actual friendly human picked up. He said they would see us in minutes. We cancelled the registration and drove here. We arrived and encountered great fast customer service. We waited about 5 minutes to be seen and the waiting room doesn’t look like a mortuary.

J G My aging mother, who is living with Parkinsons disease required a same-day procedure in the OR and upon arrival there were no wheelchairs to be found and nobody really stepping up to find one. Rita (an ER nurse who happened to be nearby) made it her personal business to ensure we were taken care of with the highest of professionalism and care. She took control of the situation and ensured its positive outcome even though it wasnt her responsibility to do so. Im extensively familiar with hospital operations at all levels (many years of experience) and I know exactly what the difference between average and superior patient care looks (and feels) like. Rita exemplified the I-will-handle-it spirit and represented both the ER and the entire Davies campus with superior style and grace. Thank you Rita.

Yeshe Matthews Hands down the worst, most hectic, disrespectful, and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a doctor. I am not exaggerating. I rarely if ever leave bad reviews, but this one was very serious for me. I called Dr Fredian twice to try to book an appointment. She blew me off and sent me to her online patient portal, which did not work. I called to explain that the online system did not work, and she told me to email her. She still would not just take a single moment to make me an appointment herself. I then followed her instructions and emailed her to try to set up an appointment, and she never responded. So I emailed one more time. By the 4th time I reached out, I asked her to please really take me seriously because I was experiencing symptoms that gave me some small discomforts and concern, and I truly felt I needed a doctor, but not an ER. Her response was to call my voicemail and yell at me in my voicemail to just go to Urgent Care and tell me that my email asking for her to please take me seriously was "inappropriate." When I called back and tried to explain that I was not in need of urgent care, but just in need of a regular doctors appointment, and that urgent care would not be helpful since I did not even have a regular doctor that I could list as my primary doctor, nor had I even seen a doctor at all for a basic visit, she told me that my phone call was "wasting valuable time" she could be spending with her patients. I was pretty shocked to hear that, but tried one more time to explain that I just really wanted to become one of those "valuable patients." I guess Im only "valuable" if I am already paying into her pocket? When I tried to explain that all I was trying to do was become a patient because she had come well-recommended, and that I was finding it frustrating to try to access her services using the online modality, she hung up on me. What kind of doctor blows off and hangs up on a sick person who is just trying to get an appointment?

Kevyn Jay Im new to the Clinic and found upon it by chance and good luck The Place is a very clean, modern, updated and comfortable clinic to walk into. The Receptionists and nurses are all very helpful and very friendly. I always feel welcomed when I arrive. It helps out alot when its hard for me to just fake being ok and happy when everyone is really nice. Being nice is contagious at this clinic and thats a wonderful thing! It means a lot and ensures not only did I go to the right place, but I will continue to back too The team of Doctors are very knowledgeable and in my situation have empathy for me. That helps so much, as the doctors see me ad a person, not a customer or a number. I really feel important and that they care about me. Dr. Fang was absolutely wonderful and much help in a difficult situation with obtaining medication and she got it done. Ive spoken to several BH specialists and they have been the best and the highest quality professionals. Tracy, she really is the one who saved me from myself and with her spending time even after closing to finish my intake /assessment shows how dedicated this clinic is to providing Quality care. I just saw Dr Tran and she is another one on my team of excellent providers providing real help and investing the time needed to make sure I am taken care. I appreciate everything and would recommend this clinic to anyone needing Medical Care.

margaret s. After years trying to determine the source of various medical issues, I discovered Dr.Dismond. Through analysis, medical exams and blood work- I found I had ADHD. The diagnosis was life changing. Im finally free of debilitating issues - physically and mentally. His service offers more than other practices. I like the structure and regular check ins. The doctor and his staff are accessible and available. I also appreciate his counsel and insight. With the service, you can book an hour each month to speak to Dr. D. We have open dialogue on various topics and Ive found it both healing and informative. For those suffering from symptoms possibly related to ADHD, I highly recommend Dr. Dismonds practice.

Alex Smith I was considering changing insurance. Dr. Jessica Tsuei was listed on the new insurance companys website as an in-network provider, so I called this office. They confirmed that they accept my new potential insurance. They also confirmed that Dr. Jessica Tsuei is taking new patients. So I went ahead and changed my insurance. I set Dr. Jessica Tsuei as my new PCP. Just called this office and they said they actually dont take this insurance. Dear god. So disorganized. What a waste of time. Open enrollment is now long gone, so I am stuck. Terrible front office staff.

Something Clever This hospital was pivotal in saving my ability to walk and was amazing with the care and understanding I was allowed. Being a visitor on vacation that became paralyzed from the shoulders down on my vacation was very intimidating. The nurses and doctors were very helpful in teaching me how to walk again and educating me about my condition. I truly believe my paralysis would have been permanent if it had happened at home in Kansas.

Sarah Ryherd I came in here through the ER at 3am on a Sunday and was so nervous but all of the staff were so incredibly kind and put me at ease. It wasnt crowded so I was seen quickly and immediately got a bed with hydration and pain medication which helped a lot with my discomfort. Some initial labs came back not looking so good so they promptly admitted me. I got a lovely room on the 9th floor with great views of the city. My whole team of doctors worked so hard on my weird symptoms and labs to come up with a solution as quickly as they could. Thank you to Dr OConnell, his advisor who I regretfully dont remember her name (it was a lot of information), and also Dr. Guy for being so communicative, kind, and helpful. I really appreciate all the time you took to do tests and try to figure out what was going on. The real superstars, though, are the nurses who looked after me for so many hours in there. Thank you so much to Ysabelle, Danielle, Shane, and Olivia on the 9th floor who so gently and carefully took care of me. What could have been such a nightmare visit, because the healthcare system is difficult, was made so much easier by their kindness.

kmaintl L My 1st surgery, which was a brain surgery yesterday, at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus and this is specific reviews for ICU nurses post surgery. I had RNs Stephanie Brown overnight post op and Catherine Constantinesco all day after in ICU and if anyone could make you feel like your recovery is important were these 2 RNs. Each did everything, total care. Good patient relation, care, and you never felt like they wouldnt bend over backwards to get you anything you needed. NP Alex was part of this great team and he shared all info with our team of doctors that were monitoring me. After my surgeon gives me the news that they could NOT get all the tumor, it was refreshing to get this quality of care. I hope this review is shared with their nurse manager and them.

Kim Major I was his patient for 3 weeks at kindred hospital. I had to ask who this person was coming into my room, taking his stethoscope out and listen to my lungs/heart for a brief moment. Then BOOM! he was on to next patient. I was never notified about changes to my medication regimen (per his requests), I was left clueless as to my care (my ‘case manager’ said my Dr. said I was supposed to go to a SNF after my discharge; he never mentioned a THING about that to me). I’m thankful to be alive, but this is NOT quality of care you’d expect from your primary physician.

With the help from Simon and the great team of doctors I was sent home after a couple weeks to continue to heal for my next surgery. I also want to thank my superstars in PT Joaquin Rocky Nikil and Veronica. You helped me get my strength back and be able to walk out the front door. I also want to thank Jeff in OT. They all made me look forward to my sessions. I cannot express enough the care I received at kindred. Thank you!!!!

Alex B Apparently, some of the workers, at times, appeared to be hostile/bigoted. When I arrived a nurse (Austin) who seemed nice took my things, including a Navy Blue Jacket, Tommy Hilfiger, Size medium. At discharge, a different nurse returned some of my belongings... yet she kept a form I expected to read/sign. She did Not return my blue jacket. I called and emailed, and did not receive an apology or real reply - the response seemed hostile, as if they feel they are doing me a favor. Please send my jacket or the replacement cost.

Stephanie Bilodeau This place and the people in it save precious lives everyday. My mother has spent many nights in facilities like these as someone with a severe mental illness. This one was different. It was compassionate. The doctors were caring and invested in helping her get better with the right treatment and medications. It’s a fine balance trying to figure out what each individual person needs — and the doctors and staff from the recreational therapists to the people who brought her the socks with the sticky bottoms each day — helped her feel safe and cared for. Surprisingly, she said the food wasn’t bad at all.

Cassandra Rosas This place saved my life. The first time I came here, I was 12 years old. I was very scared but the staff were really nice and supportive. The program is really helpful, Id recommend this place to any child who is struggling with mental health. They also have a program to treat EDs. Ive been to the 3 East B adolscent psych unit multiple times, so Im very familiar with everyone. The therapist Emilio, Megan, and Susanna were so nice to me, and a nurse named Chris. I spent 2 of my birthdays here, my 13th and my 14th. They made it a fun time even if we were in a hospital:) The patients Ive been with were always really nice. Not much drama happens in this hospital. Thanks to this hospital, I am now happy in life, learning to cope with stressful situations. Thank you, Alta Bates.

Holly Trief Pretty much saved my son’s life. Big shout out to Dr. Arnold, the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program staff and for the nurses and aides. Good communication, open atmosphere (able to see the patient rooms and interact with nurses and staff during visits), and great Simpson’s chess game! Hospital facility is a bit dated but a shiny new hospital doesn’t always equate to the best care.
