Devona Isais I really wasn’t sure if I wanted to share my experience from Wednesday and this was my first time getting my nails done at this place. However I thought about it for a few days and decided it was best to share my experience. I walked in on Wednesday 11/27/24 at 11:30am I was greeted by a very nice lady who I showed the picture of how I wanted my nails and she then had me sit down in table #7. I seen that they had to call the young man from outside to come back in and do my nails. I’m assuming he was on the phone with his friend/partner because about two minutes later as he was about to do my nails he had a FaceTime call and he the turned the phone towards me so the person on the other end could see me? That man wanted to see what he was doing and who he was with? There was no other explanation in my observation. The young man didn’t even ask me if that was okay, that made me feel very uncomfortable. But I couldn’t tell him that because he did not speak any English. Then about 3-5 minutes later the same man FaceTimed the young man who was doing my nails back! To check again who he was with. By then I knew what was really going on. So from there he seemed very nervous and distracted and he cut my left ring finger three times. He was really trying his best and trying to do a good job and for the most part my nails look nice. But the experience was the most uncomfortable and a little painful from the cuts. Also one of my nails is already chipping. Lastly this took two hours! I wasn’t out of there until 1:30pm! I must add I would love to give this place a second try but not with the same person.

The Castle House Family Wendys nails is SOLID! After another shop really did a number on my nails, that I worked VERY hard to grow out, Wendys brought them back. Chris gives excellent foot massages after great nails, Emily always does a great manicure and the service is just always consistent to me. Plus everyone is very kind and they serve bottled drinks! I only do gel so I cant comment on the more fanciful items, but the design I saw on a girl tonight was AMAZING quality! So delicate. Love my new salon! Im a nail biter no more!!

Joann Yanez I had a good experience. I went Friday afternoon, only waited about twenty-five minutes, only two employees working two other people ahead of me, so I soaked, waiting for my pedicure. The wait was worth it. I paid for the #5, $65 plus tip. Im very pleased, and my feet feel and look incredible. Thank you, Pretty Nails. I will be back.

Linda Mendez-Adams I’ve been to this nail salon four times, but unfortunately, by the last appointment, my nails were breaking, lifting, and incredibly fragile. I really wanted to support this new shop because the staff is friendly, the space is clean, and they offer nice perks like free water bottles. However, my nails were left severely damaged, and the experience became more painful with each visit. First Visit I opted for gel polish. One of my nails was chipped, so I asked if it could be filed down to prevent it from catching and breaking. Unfortunately, it wasn’t filed, and within a couple of days, the nail broke. While the polish looked pretty, it peeled off easily and didn’t last long. Second Visit Since one of my nails was broken, I decided to get fake nails. However, the process was rough and uncomfortable. My fingers ended up with cuts and were extremely sore from the filing. I also had to continue explaining the shape I wanted, and the filing took a really long time because an electric file wasn’t used to shape it. Although the final result looked nice, my fingers were in pain for days afterward. Third Visit I kept the fake nails but asked for them to be shortened. This visit was slightly better in terms of soreness and cuts, but the pedicure was another story. The technician was very rough, twisting my toes to get a better angle, which made the experience painful. By this point, I began dreading appointments because they had become so uncomfortable. Final Visit I went back to have the fake nails removed and get acrylic polish. The removal process was a nightmare. The technician tried to pop the nails off by sticking wooden tools underneath. And cut my skin with the nail clippers which made me bleed. My nails were left so sensitive that even the slightest touch was painful. The pedicure was still rough, with the technician twisting my toes again. Adding to the frustration, the polish started peeling off the next day. While the staff is kind and attentive in some ways, and the salon itself is clean and welcoming, the damage to my nails and the pain I experienced were simply not worth it. My nails have never been this fragile before, and I won’t be returning.

Yajira Romero It was my first time going in and I had a great experience. Allie was the girl who did my full set and she was gentle. She focused on getting me the shape I wanted, to be smooth and even. She took her time and I really appreciated that. Other salons I’ve been to in town don’t care if they come out bumpy or weird looking. Staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend to anyone!

MIAH R I like new location. Everyone is very nice. The atmosphere is comfortable & clean. The recliners are so omfortable that I fall asleep!! I try not to but its so nice in there. Ive had my lashes done by both Stephanie & Luz. They always check at the start to ask what Id like to do & they check again when done to make sure I like the results. I feel like their main goal is to make sure I love the result. Highly recommend.

Mrs. S My right eye always lost eyelashes within hours. I paid $175 plus $25 and got them done twice within 7 days. Stephanie is super kind and patient but something is off about the technique or glue. Unfortunately I would not recommend. Thank you for the reply but I had a tummy tuck and cannot side sleep due to a complication (back sleep only). Most of them came out while I working and it was the center of the eyelid. I still appreciate the help. Thanks.

Savanna Sanchez Luz does an amazing job. My lashes last a full 2 weeks. If my lashes didn’t grow so fast, they would last 3 weeks. The girls here are great. It’s a welcoming and professional environment, and the chairs are so comfortable.

Irenegrace Balo after months of looking a good place to get my nails done, I finally found the right place and person! I came there without any expectations, I went to many nail Salons after moving from Vegas, I always get disappointed so when Henry did my set, I was mind blown and very happy with the result. I left there place with a big smile on my face., I liked it because he really take times , very detailed and he didn’t rush me. the place is very big and beautiful reminds me of a Hollywood vibes. Mariah Tildesley I have been to Aria Nail Lounge over 5 times now. Each time, the front desk is super welcoming and greets me with a smile. I have NEVER waited more than a couple minutes to be seated. With or without appointment! The staff who provided services pay very close attention to detail and are skilled at their craft. The building is clean, well decorated and calming. There is ample parking and great shopping & eateries in the center. I believe prices are fair for what you receive. This is by far the most luxurious and high quality nail spa in Visalia. I always leave happy and relaxed.

Hydxria it was my first time going but definitely not the last! they were really quick in an hour exactly they were done, for a full set . They cleaned up my cuticles no other spot has ever done that! i love the shape the french tips. they look so clean!

They could have been like sorry you missed your appointment you’ll have to reschedule, but that not the way they do things. They brought me a bottle of water and nail color Choice books and the weight wasn’t long at all. They are so friendly and kind and so professional the work they do is so much better than anywhere I’ve ever been before. I will never go anywhere else they have a customer for life. Samantha Head Me and my husband went there to get our pedicure done to our feet the two girls there doesn’t seem like they werent professional like they don’t have there licenses the two girls has to keep switching back and fourth doing my toes cuz I told them I have a bad ingrown toenail and they went to deep and now my toes infected it has white stuff coming out they kept asking the older lady what do next cuz we pay 55 dollars each it seem like it not worth 55 dollars they keep forgetting to do what was being said on the paper they didn’t even do everything that it says that you get with the 55$ pedicure I do not recommend this place you will be wasting your money. I learned my lesson so wanted ppl to know before they do the same to you. My toes are both swollen and they hurt so bad they don’t know what there doing.

Valencia My manicurist was very detail oriented and had no issues fixing and perfecting my full set. She made sure the marble detail on each nail was perfect before curing it. Im super happy with how it turned out. Price was $70 plus tip, which for the amount of time and detail is a great price!

Maria Ellena Vasquez Disappointed. I asked for a regular manicure with a paraffin wax treatment. I explained to the nail tech that the skin on my fingers is really dry. I’m a healthcare worker so I wash my hands a lot. The tech didn’t leave the paraffin on my hands for very long. After she took it off, she spent more time picking the paraffin off of her own nails than she did massaging my hands and arms. Being that they do this kind of thing all the time, I would have thought that a little paraffin on her own nails wouldn’t have bothered her so much. I feel like she could have waited until the end to pick the extra paraffin off her nails and focused on the customer instead . For people who are thinking that it was a lot of paraffin, it wasn’t. It was literally tiny little flakes. The palm of my hand was left looking and feeling really dry, which is bizarre because it wasn’t dry to begin with. It was the area around my fingers that was dry. Those little red specks are nail polish that was left on my hand. On top of that, the water that she had me soak my fingers in before she even started the service was really cold. Maybe this was just a one off experience. I know that Larry or Kim would have done a good job. Maybe I’ll just have to ask for them specifically next time. I like to support local small businesses, but I had the exact same treatment at a Visalia nail place two weeks ago and it was so much better. I’m sorry but the same exact same service, with the exact same price, and much better quality is enough to make me drive to Visalia instead. :(

Ryan Coleman First & last time EVER going...I went in for a manicure and pedicure 8/3/24 and it was very rushed, not pleasant at all...no prices are shown for anything so they tell you one thing then charge you another at check out. Still had paint residue on my hands and feet (like a toddler painted them) Do NOT waste your time or money going here.

Courtney Allen I got an amazing gel pedicure for $55. I loved this service. The massage I received was a 10/10 I asked for a manicure next because i wanted an acrylic set but i wanted my cuticles trimmed first. My acrylic I had on was crudely popped off and it caused my pinkie nail to bleed (they did not say sorry). The manicure I received wasnt a good service (i was given a bowl of water to keep my hands in for less than a minute before they trimmed my cuticles) Then they applied my acrylic. I was charged $75 for this service… I wouldn’t have an issue with the price if the services I received were worth it. Note to anyone: don’t come here to get your acrylic removed.

Fabiana (Real_queen3) 1st time here for pedicure and wait time minimum 3m to none. Was helped by Tiffnay and she was really nice to me. The level of care attention he put in his work was truly amazing. My nails have never looked this perfect and I’ve received so many compliments. Rebekah Szyszka EDIT: I have changed my review from 3* to 1* because I was made aware at my recent nail appointment with my actual nail tech that this salon uses MMA monomer instead of EMA monomer. MMA was banned by the FDA because of how harsh it is on one’s natural nails. It is INCREDIBLY hard to remove, took my tech almost TWO HOURS to remove (soak off + drilling) when usually a soak-off only takes her 25 minutes max. My natural nails were so thin and ragged following the removal we had to call it quits for a few weeks to wait for my nails to grow out and be strengthened again. DO NOT get your acrylics done here, it’s not worth it. *** I don’t typically get my acrylic sets done at Kiwii’s since I have a pretty solid home based tech I see every few weeks, but I had a nail emergency and couldn’t get in with my usual tech I decided to give Kiwii’s a try as I’d previously had a fantastic pedicure experience here the weekend before Easter 2024. I am a little disappointed in the overall experience, though my nails did turn out beautiful. I was a walk-in, and the wait wasn’t too bad. Maybe 25 minutes all together, but the techs were very very busy so it’s totally understandable. I was serviced by Kenny today, and while he was very kind, this was the roughest manicure I have experienced in my time getting my nails done. I needed to get a soak off of a pervious set (there was some lifting because my pinky nails kept snagging on things and I nearly broke a few acrylics due to this, but my usual nail tech was booked way out due to graduations taking place within the next few weeks.) However, after trimming down my acrylics, Kenny attempted to pry the remaining acrylic off which hurt pretty bad since the acrylic was still relatively solidly adhered to my natural nail, other than at my pinky nails which had been lifting in the first place. I did request a soak off twice prior to him trying to simply pry the acrylic off, and had to reiterate the fact that I wanted the soak off after explaining that the prying was hurting me. I did have 3d charms on a few of my nails and the removal of those hurt a little bit as well, when typically it does not. After my nails soaked in acetone for a bit for removal, he drilled the remaining acrylic off my nails. This was also rougher than what I am accustomed to, and burned at times due to how many times he went over the same spot on my nails, as well as hitting my cuticles a few times. For the most part I was willing to over look these issues because of how speedy the majority of the process was, and as a mom of 2 young children time truly is of the essence for my appointments. However, I could not get past the point at the end of my set when I got nicked on 3 separate nails (both thumbs and my left ring finger, though it’s hard to see in pictures) to the point of bleeding. The first time I could be understanding, but for it to happen twice more feels a little negligent. Or at the very least, not as attentive as I would have expected a nail tech to be after being made aware the first time. I will say that Kenny was quick to disinfect the nicks with alcohol and I followed up with washing my hands twice to hopefully keep the area clean and avoid any issues but I will be monitoring the next couple of days to insure I do not have any issues arise from the nicks. For those reasons, I had to rate 3 stars. Overall, the environment is very welcoming and the owners are lovely people, I am just a little disappointed in the fact that I have never gotten hurt getting my nails done prior to this, and paying $80 + tip was a little frustrating. However, I do still absolutely recommend Kiwii Nails & Spa for pedicures, and would even be willing to give them a second go with my acrylics since I know everyone has off days. Do be willing to speak up and advocate for yourself in the event that you feel any pain at any time during the nail services though! That’s something I have a difficult time with myself, but ultimately it was not an experience that would totally deter me from coming back.
