Kacia Keegin Shelby is absolutely amazing. For the first time ever I have a stylist/colorist who knows what shes doing hands down. I had super long roots and I have very long hair. I was running late and she was very flexible. She was fast, professional and very very nice. I am disabled and then a wheelchair and she was able to accommodate me in a very professional manner. My hair looks so great. Ive gotten a ton of compliments on it. I will never use another colorist/stylist again. She has a client for life.

brian james I have been getting my hairs cut at Hair Inc for 10 plus years. Shelby takes pride in her cuts, she makes sure that your cut is what you want and is not scared to let you know what she thinks.(if it will work with your face/style). Her attention to detail is spot on. The location of the salon is in the heart of downtown Bakersfield. The new remodel of her place looks great! The tin ceiling and brick accent wall make the place feel like you are somewhere else besides a Hair salon. Shelbys attention to details and hospitality keeps me coming back every two weeks! The cut is 65 dollars. For me its all worth it. Also end up buying of her product that she used in my hair. Made my hair soft and shiny. Over all loved my 1st time haircut experience. Sure ill come back again if I need a hair done.

She is best known for her Curly Hair skills, but she does a great job with my very thin, straight hair. I love my color as well. Andrea Olmedo I had a wonder experience at Bakersfield Curl Co.! I had not gotten a haircut or gone to a salon in many years and was desperate for a change. Brittany knew exactly what i needed and exceeded my expectations. I was really nervous because I’ve never had a good salon experience, even when I went to a curly cut specialist before , I did not like the end result. For example the last experience I had, the hairstylist barely put any product in my hair and I left looking like a brushed out poodle! She insisted that I only needed a dime size amount of product and if that wasn’t enough it’s because my hair was not healthy. Mind you this was supposedly a curly hair specialist. Never in my life have I been able to go to a salon and leave feeling great and ready to go out. I usually rush out and run home before anyone sees me so that that I can style it myself. At Bakersfield Curl Co., the entire experience was great. I didn’t feel judged for the state of my hair and Brittany was very kind and knew what I needed. The lady that washed my hair was very gentle and I felt so relaxed. Once Brittany was styling my hair , the minute I saw the amount of product she was putting on her hands, I almost felt like crying, i knew I was in good hands. The end product was amazing and I felt like I could go out for brunch with my friends right after without running home to hide from anyone. For the first time in my life I could relate to my straight haired friends from all the times they would say how much they loved getting their hair done and how great they looked after, this day, that was me too! Thank You Brittany and Bakersfield Curl Co.! Below I’m showing two pictures, the first one is from a few years ago when I got a curly cut at another salon, that is how they left me, although I’m smiling, I was anxious to run home and style my own hair. Auri Found this spot via Instagram. I had never gone to a professional hairdresser so was a little scared. I have curly hair and i know not everyone has the knowledge to treat it. When i messaged Brittany (the owner), she was the sweetest and answered all my questions. I’m so glad i gave this place a shot because not only my hair is now in good hands but i gained a friend. C Maynard Lisa Raper is amazing!! She is sweet, funny and has such a wonderful personality. I was referred to her by a friend Amber Ellis and this is seriously the best stylist I’ve ever had! I’m so happy with how my hair turned out , the color and highlights are perfect, looks so natural. She put layers in my hair and even showed me how to get the perfect beach wave hair by curling it. Elizabeth Dorado I really don’t like to go for haircuts as stylist always cut my hair way shorter than I asked for. I read the reviews for Privato and decided to go for it. I’m so glad I did! Lisa is the best! She cut my super long hair, gave me layers and curtain bangs. She said if I wanted to change anything or I wasn’t happy to reach out to her as she gives her clients a 1 week grace period for changes. SHE DID NOT LIE. I hesitated to message her as it was almost a week. I asked if she could add layers to the back and she said absolutely! I will definitely be going to her from now on. Ive never been so happy and content with a hair cut!

The Staff at Privato Salon & Spa are friendly, professional and courteous. Lisa is incredible and I absolutely loved my cut and style. I received so many compliments afterwards and even as it grew out. I have long thick hair and stylists in the past hadnt given me that "feel great cut" like Lisa did. I just went back for my second cut and know I have found my new long term stylist in Bakersfield. K Hubbard I’m very surprised to read the reviews regarding Erica the receptionist because I have been coming here for several years and every single time I’ve walked in the door she doesn’t speak to you! Nothing!!! Doesn’t even look up! I’m sitting here right now and watched several people walk in and nothing to them either. She’s walked by me a couple times and doesn’t acknowledge I’m sitting here. She’s too busy on her cellphone. That is so rude to have the person at the entrance of your business not greet people that walk through your door! Very unprofessional!
