Maithreya Kedambadi Fantastic experience! Was greeted with a warm welcome & hot tea. I got a pedi/manicure & extra-long foot massage. The salon had an extremely hygienic environment and all tools were properly sterilized. The technician was very careful and was patient in covering details. The high quality product was used at all steps, yielding a flawless result. Touch of luxury at a reasonable price, definitely marking this place for a revisit!

Priyaa Kalyanaraman I wanted to get nails done for an event and called in last min, and they were able to find me an appointment quickly. The space is well done, clean and easy to find. My first time getting cat eye nails with hard gel! It came out really well. Love how smooth and shimmery it is, I got so many compliments. Prices are reasonable, the staff is super nice, service was fast. Next time will try out other services. Highly recommend.

Staff were super friendly and asked good questions to find out what I wanted. Mani and pedi were relaxing and came out great. So cute. Love the color. Definitely coming again.

Mariana Riera When I entered the salon it was really clean and organized, they offer me coffee or tee, put my favorite show on their tv while I got a manicure. They took the time to do an amazing job for my nails. It was my first time trying gel and they have so many colors organized by color. This time I tried just manicure but I’ll come back for more. Loved this place + the staff + the owner which are really friendly.

I have been looking to do pedicure for a long time,since my last experience at the nail salon was disappointing,I didn’t want to go to any…..However I was in need to do my pedicure and I came across this salon by accident and I was so happy. The service that they ladies provide there is so amazing ,the foot massage and the hot stone massage ,and scrubbing plus on top of that they are very gentle and caring. I recommend this salon if you need a mani and paid 10000000%. They care that much that they wrap the wrapper with oil on top of my nails on the foot so I can go home and it won’t smudge(even tho the nail polish was dry) Very nice and lovely ladies.

Negin Falahati This place is the best one I’ve been to in all of SF! Friendly staff, very clean and the spa itself it very presentable and peaceful. Their pedicures are amazing. They do the classic pedicure but include paraffin, hot stone and a hot towel! Their lotion is even warm when they massage. All of this for $30! They spent over an hour on my pedicure and did not miss a single detail! They are so accommodating too with schedules. 10/10 recommended - you will not be disappointed!

Rachel Schwartz Got a regular mani pedi ($55) here when I was in town visiting a friend. I was super grateful that they took me as a walk in and my experience was generally fine. Staff were all very friendly. Only downside is a regular mani pedi took 90 minutes because they had me sit and let my nails dry for 45 minutes. Luckily I had no where to go but that felt excessive!

Joy Rinehart I was visiting from out of town and needed a fill for my builder gel nails. Julie and team did an amazing job on my service! The shop is clean and comfortable. I would definitely visit again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

Tricia Peck This was such a terrible awful experience! I have a 1 year old so getting to go out get a mani pedi is an ultra luxury. The women looked beyond disappointed I was there & no one smiled. Like I was a burden being there. The pedicure itself was ok and in the end looked good even with the bad attitudes and bad energy. The seats are weird and the water being carried made me feel like I was a major burden. My babysitter said they could stay longer so I asked for a manicure and a lip wax. The wax was so hot burned my lips. It’s been 6 days and my skin is still red bumpy and looks horrible. I’d normally not get a lip wax but was in a linch and could never imagine such terrible careless service! She didn’t get all the hair burned all around my mouth and now I have had terrible breakouts from the burn at a family wedding. My nails look awful and I paid over $150. I will never ever go back here and highly suggest no one else does either. One star should be negative stats. Careless over priced meaningless service awful. So sad no one in the bay area puts care and love into their work because it’s just all about money.

Trudi Spork I make appointments and they say its not confirmed until they get back to you. They never get back to you so I dont go because they never confirmed it. So how would I know how good you are if you dont confirm my appointment

Afsaneh Pahlavan I had been coming here for over a year. On my last two mani and pedi they managed to trim my nails in a way that they boke off up to tip of my fingers and the gel mani started pealing off after 24 hr. I have ingrown toe nails and although every time they acted like they were cutting the ingrown edges, they would totally fail to give me relief from the pain and every time I ended up coming home and fixing the issue on my own. So I stopped going for my nails. But my mistake was going back for full facial waxing. The owner, at check out decided to over charge me by $5. I just called her and she said it was because she also waxed my nose!!!! Last I checked my nose was a part of my face. Avoid this place they are dishonest and their work if terrible at the most.

Xochitl Love I went with Ms. Dior to get her nails done at Green Spa Nails and she absolutely loves them! She felt fabulous as she was getting her mani pedi along with her eyebrows waxed and is deff going back. Fabulous service!!!

Sophie Duster I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Green Spa and Nails. I went in for dip powder manicure and left with a mess. 2 stars for great color selection, cleanliness, and friendly staff. I just wished they knew how to apply it to your nails properly. The dip is messily applied to the edges of nails and each nail is a different shape/size. I tried to say something to the tech during the experience, but was dismissed many times. I paid and left very frustrated after being at the salon for 2 hours which is long for this type of service. I called to see if I could speak to a manager and they told me they were on vacation for the next month. They kindly offered to redo my nails at another time, but I declined as Im weary about the quality of their services at this salon. I really wanted to like this place since its so convenient, but take your money to the other nail salons in the area. Update: One of the kind techs called and said she spoke to her manager and offered for me to come in and get them removed for a full refund. I requested a refund without needing to come back into the salon, which they denied. The gesture was nice, but Ill just consider this experience a loss on my part.

Here are my observations so far: - gel removal process very fast - good color options - too many layers of gel (looks kinda bulbous on my nails) - did not cover full nail with paint on ~3 nails - strange nail shape & not clean file, had to fix when I got home - already chipped one nail (fixed myself so not visible in photo) Note I am very picky :)

Finally a dip manicure that doesn’t leave my nails insanely thick! So grateful to have found this place. I highly recommend.

Kailey Romey Friendly and great work. I told them I typically peel my nails/cuticles so they took extra care to ensure the gel didn’t layover any skin/cuticles to avoid any lifting of the gel. Very happy and will definitely be back.

Eve Munguia Ive been going to this place, most of the time the service is good even though they dont have variety of colors. The nail spas owner is a bit rough, so if you take on her as a manicurist, she will color your cuticles and leave your fingers very dry. She is always active and concerned about what is going on with the clients, which is excellent, but it is also detrimental for the customers with whom she works individually. She should have more manicurists or not take too many reservations in order to provide a better experience.

Dan Dascalescu Great pedicure + nice hot stones massage for $30. No useless frills like nail coating (which tends to go yellow over time, or peel off). Comfortable chairs, without massage capabilities. Slightly cheaper if you pay cash (so you can leave a tip). As a guy, a pedicure every 6 weeks serves me well.

Meghan Brown Its difficult for me to give an accurate review that one would assume summarizes my experience with the nail technician, her skills, and my evaluation. Unfortunately, like many other recent experiences Ive been going through, it seems as if theres an anonymous 3rd party contributing their basis and effecting my opinion. I tried going in without prior knowledge of the salon, but I could tell the technician had likely been doing her job for years and for the most part had an excellent set of skills. I think the salon was polished and provided a calming environment that was in alignment with nature.

Lindsay Purdom First time at this nail salon and will definitely become a regular here! They were thorough, kind, precise, and clean. Very reasonably priced as well - $40 for a gel manicure. I was in and out in about an hour. EDIT: it’s been only 6 days and my manicure is starting to chip and peel. Good experience, but questionable longevity :/

Julie I dont know if I got the dream team or what, but I had the best experience at this salon. My basic mani pedi only took 25 minutes! The staff were excellent and the front desk person really made an effort to make sure I had everything I needed. Clean, comfortable and fairly priced.

Angela Han This place is amazing! The staff are all so kind, friendly, and attentive. One of the staff noticed a hair in my nail polish coat before I even did, and they fixed it right away! Another time, when I came with my friend, she ended up not liking the color she chose and they took time to take off the color and then find her a different shade that would suit her better. They really care about giving high-quality service and giving you the best experience. They also did a great job with my nails and my friends nails! Best nail place Ive been to so far in the city!

Leila Mehr I have no idea how these guys are getting five stars. Their place is dirty and the staff are nasty! Their work also sucks!! They file the nails sooo much before putting the polish on your nails become sooo thin that they break so easily! They don’t even bother using hand files! They use electric ones!! If you ask them not to, they simply ignore you!! I asked them to make my nails even and this is how they did it! Also two of my nails look bumpy like there is extra nail polish on them after putting on the polish! Oh by the way, the gel polish came off even after all the brutal filling they did only after two days!!

Viridiana De Leon I always love my nails done here, always careful with my cuticles and making sure I’m satisfied with the shape and color. The prices are pretty reasonable compared to other shops in the neighborhood and a job well done. Call ahead if you’d like any nail extensions or designs as they book up pretty quickly. Gel-x nail extensions were around $70 and you get a small discount with cash payment.

judy Navarrete It had been a few years since I last visited this place, and I noticed several changes, possibly due to new management. They used to provide disposable sandals, but not anymore. When I arrived, they simply asked me to choose a color without inquiring about my preferences. When I asked if I could pick the polish directly from the bottles, they told me it was better to use gel, even though I personally don’t like it. I’ve never been a fan of long nails, and yet, this was the least satisfactory manicure I’ve ever had. I believe they could improve their customer service to offer a more personalized experience.

jenny ferlee Liam was meticulous and so nice. He was good natured about my requests for no cuticle trimming (other places have tried to argue with me, but Liam was so nice about it). He kept asking if I liked my nails and was happy to change the base color a tad more pink for the second coat. SUPER fast too, which shows how talented he is (particularly in drawing the design). The whole thing under 30 minutes: consultation on design, filing, shaping, gel + design, lotion + hot towel. I brought in a picture I liked and he replicated it perfectly, plus added some extra color upon request. Great price too, highly recommend.

Maria Vasina This is my new go to salon! I’ve decided to get extensions starting in March and have had some HORRIBLE experiences since then. One salon gave me acrylics instead of the gel extensions I asked for, leaving my nails even more brittle and damaged. Another did a (very expensive) set of gel x nails that literally started falling off the very next day and you still need to book months in advance. Cc was my saving grace. I believe Caitlin did my new set of gel x nails and she was just awesome. It’s been about a week and they still look great and none are damaged, broken or peeling off. She also said that they can do a fill for gel x nails until my natural nails grow out and then we can switch to hard gel. None of my previous salons offered or mentioned that filling in gel x was even possible. Love it and will be back!

Aaliyah Barker The place is super cute and very clean. My only complaint regarding cleanliness was when she started doing my actual manicure. She didn’t soften my cuticles and rushed my manicure, and she ended up cutting 3 of my fingers. I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks and have never once had someone cut my finger enough to make it bleed, let alone 3 of them. They spent two hours on my gel manicure, so of course I still paid; but it was hard for me to put $65 down for that. I likely won’t be coming back. I wanted to give this place a try since I just moved in right next door, but my first experience wasn’t great. They were not the most patient or friendly. It could have just been an off day for them, which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1. It was busy and based on the pictures, I’m sure this was just a fluke. Lastly, I asked for an almond shape, and the technician made some of them almond and some of them round. Shape wise, they look really bad. Which was surprising, because a lot of reviews looks great! Maybe I got a newer technician or she was just rushing. I can’t tell if I’m being too picky or not, but I ended up fixing them myself with a nail file and they look better. Usually I would have them fix it on the spot, but after being there for 2 hours, I was already late for my next thing. I have also never had a manicure take so long. I attached photos of my nails close up to show the cuts and poor manicure, but this was after fixing the shape myself.

Becca Klarin Shade is my favorite nail salon! Appointments are easy, they offer SO many options, the salon is spotless, and the staff are incredibly friendly and talented. My recent gel mani and pedi (9 days ago) still look amazing, even with daily abuse from vacation sun, sand, and pool. And I brought my kiddo with me last time for their first pedi, and they loved their experience. Thank you, Shade Nail Salon!

Vikki Cerniglia I love this salon! I have been coming here for over a year now after trying so many salons, and love their attention and treatment. They are friendly, kind, clean, and gentle. They have a great diverse selection of polishes/styles. Its incredibly simple to make an appointment, and they have lots of quality staff and chairs available. I typically get the La Rose Mani-Pedi, which includes a nice massage. My recent gel mani, I got French tips with a chrome overlay, and it has lasted 3 weeks!

Kimberly Rice I tried this place randomly, and I’m not happy. My nails were already super short and the nail tech decided to cut into my nail bed leaving jagged edges on all of my nails and my nails look terrible. They tried to make up for it by offering me a discount, which is the least they could do but you should know better than to cut into the nail bed if you are a nail tech. I’m very disappointed and they apologized but I def won’t be coming back here. I would have been better off doing my own nails.

Chi Hsu Overbooked but still took the appointment. Ended up doing 2 peoples nails at the same time and rushing paining my nails. I can see the rough strokes. Paid $24 for a regular manicure. Then they were alternating between customers so my whole thing took longer than expected. Did a poor job as they rushed the manicure.

So detail oriented, I swear he spent 15 minutes going over each nail to make sure they were even. The salon as whole is very clean and small which I like l, will definitely be going back here again and again!

The real star? Tram. She’s more than just skilled—she’s a true artist. Her kindness, professionalism, and incredible attention to detail keep me coming back. She’s been doing my brows for a while now, and I constantly get compliments on both my brows and nails. I showed her this design for Valentine’s Day from a picture, and she recreated it flawlessly. If you’re looking for top-tier service and stunning results, this is the place to be!

Cindy This place was Ok but I wont be back. I got the signature pedicure but the value just wasnt there for paying extra. Massage as subpar, no hot stones and attention to detail was lacking. After I left, noticed several gaps in the polish.

April Anderson Wonderful modern environment, warm staff, and non toxic products. My gel manicures last at least 3 weeks here, they do not rush and make sure you get a very high quality mani. They have lots of nice colors and even some magnetic and color changing. I will only go to non toxic places from now on, not only for my own health but for the health of the kind people giving me a service, they don’t deserve to be exposed to chemicals day in and day out. Everyone is great here, June has been my go to in the past but they all do a lovely job.

I love watching Friends and using their great massage chairs while they work! I recently tried out gel manicures because my nails are naturally long and tough, but I cannot express how IMPRESSED I am with the results! Lin Pham was my technician today, and did a perfect job! Could not recommend more!!

Teresa I had heard great things about this nail salon despite living far away, so I booked an appointment online in advance and arrived on time. However, they took a walk-in customer ahead of me, even though I had an appointment, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes past my scheduled time. I chose the $60 classic mani-pedi, but the nail polish was thin and streaky, so I had to request a third coat. After painting my nails, the staff handed me a fan and left without any instructions on how long I should wait, and no one checked on me again. After a long time and thinking my nails were dry, I got up to leave, only to have them smudge. The staff was rude and blamed me for it. Although they fixed my nails and didn’t charge me for the "extra" work, the polish started chipping just a few days later. So after spending $60 plus $10 tip and Uber, I definitely won’t be returning.

Kelsie Groot This is the 2nd time I got gelx from green beauty nails and I am obsessed! They do such a great job and take their time to make sure you get the desired outcome. And they stay on for a long time. I received a gel pedicure a little over 2 months ago that still has not chipped. Very happy with this location!

Rachel Glascock I’ve had my nails done here twice. First time was fine, but the second was not good. I specifically made an appointment with Helen the second time because I had seen great reviews / had a friend recommend here. In short, Helen was there, but did not do the service. I didn’t realize after booking with someone in particular I had to verify that was the person giving my services. I get builder gel and have been for a long time. The tech doing it there did not seem to know how to do builder nor remove it properly. She was trying to pry off my old builder with cuticle cutters. Additionally, the shape/lengths of my nails ended up completely different between hands. I also asked for nude with chrome and they opted to use yellow green colored chrome. Not ideal. I would not recommend this salon for builder. Separately, I asked if I could get an aura design and was told no, which I felt was very odd. These are my natural nails, so now I just have to wait for them to grow out of the triangles half of them were filed into. By the way, this cost $90 + $20 tip. Photos attached show how bad this came out. Will probably have to get them redone elsewhere.

Jeannette A Honestly, one of the best nail salons in the city. Like in the name their work is very polished and pristine. Just a simple mani &Pedi is well done here. The girls are super nice and helpful! I usually get gel mani, and regular pedi. The pedis here last forever.

Ryan Miller Cozy, comfortable, clean spa. This appointment was my first ever pedicure. Because of that, I have nothing to compare this to. The nail tech worked attentively. I have no idea what she was doing but I never felt discomfort and I was quite relaxed the entire time. Very happy with the results. If I was local, Id be back a lot.

Lindsay I don’t know how they do it, but my gel manicure here had the best retention I’ve ever seen! After four full weeks with no lifting or chipping (despite how incredibly rough I am on my nails), I finally removed the polish myself. The only maintenance I did was a weekly filing to make sure they didn’t get too long. You can see how great they looked as they grew out in my photos :) The salon itself is quiet and welcoming. They have tons of colors to choose from, including lots of cat-eye/magnetic polishes. The staff were all very nice and I didn’t have to wait despite being a walk-in. My nail tech was also incredibly gentle, which I appreciate. I loved my experience here, but also know that this is not a typical nail salon. I sat in a cushioned armchair (no table). The nail tech pulled up a stool, put the lamp in my lap, and worked off the arm of the chair. It was different, but really comfortable. It’s a lovely change of pace from the intensity of other salons.

Preksha Daga I had a fantastic experience getting a mani/pedi here. It was easy to book an appointment over the phone, and easy to find. The salon is very clean and has a nice ambiance. The ladies were gentle and I felt comfortable despite how ticklish/sensitive I am, and they had great attention to detail. Im really happy with the service provided!

Maya Dluzak I called and they were able to book me in for a reg mani within 2 hrs. Phuong did me sooo good!!! I love my pearly nails. She was so gentle and quick with my cuticles, and immaculate polish application. They made sure my nails were dry before leaving!

Jenice Wilson Phuong was lovely. I asked for sunscreen for my gel Mani and she hooked me up. My nails look great. She also set me up with fantastic travel tips for my trip to Vietnam. Another staff member offered my friend and I complimentary beverages. I just came here while I was waiting for my car to get detailed. I didnt expect to want to come back but now its on my list of favorite nail spots :)

ANGEL SANTOS Horrible horrible service I went yesterday to do a manicure and a Pedicure $50 .. that service usually take 40 min.. well it was done in 15 min they rust everything..because they had more customer. Very upset to pay $50.. I actually told the lady that was doing my manicure to stop because she was rushing the job that my nails look all mess up.. here are some picture of the horrible job this lady did.. I give 0 start to this location..dont go to this place

Barb Rand Had an excellent Gel Manicure with Phuong during my recent visit to San Francisco. She was thorough and meticulous with my nails and I loved my massage at the end!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Phuong to others seeking this service!

Márquez N “Knickerbocker” Right next to the Castro Theater, this is a great place to get your nails done and people watch. Tip: Call and make an appointment. Space is limited, as they only have four chairs and two manicure stations.
