Robin Malby Pomegranate Salon is ideally located near downtown Santa Rosa. I park for free on Cherry Street and walk. All the beauticians are very experienced in cutting hair. I use Esther who is the owner and does a fantastic job. She listens to what I want and gives me a great cut every time. The atmosphere is welcoming and the receptionist very friendly. You cant go wrong here.

Leslie Ramage Janis has been my stylist for at least five years! She is pleasant, funny, and does an outstanding job on my hair, every single time! Everyone at Pomegranate Salon is very friendly and they strive to make you comfortable and happy. Love this salon!❤❤❤

Brooke Leuzinger Stylist showed up 10 minutes late. Online it tells you to show up 10 minutes early. So in all I waited 20 minutes and was pulling away when the stylist showed up. The two present stylist spoke Spanish in front of their only customer (myself), who is English speaking. Both stylist did their hair and make up at the salon which I find unprofessional. Way more to be desired regarding the environment. Old, run down, hair dye all over the counters and floor. For the money I might as well have gone some where upscale. A really uncomfortable experience.

Jinx Jessica funk is an amazing stylist, Ive had two people cut my hair in the last 2 years and not so happy. But Jessica took care of me and made my a hair look the way I wanted it to. Thank you Jessica.

Delaney Ross St James Salon was an AMAZING choice for our wedding day. From the trial to the day-of, they were great with accepting my suggestions and scheduling. On the day, they got all 7 of us (me, three bridesmaids and two moms) done in just a few hours, and were incredibly punctual. They also took our varied requests in stride... two of my bridesmaids NEVER wear makeup, so they have them a beautiful natural look, and one wanted a HUGE hairdo, and they went with it and it looked incredible. I loved every one of their ideas and they really came through in pictures. What’s more, their prices were competitive! Thank you so much to Lauren and her mom and their team!

Heidi Walliser I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with St. James Salon. The team was attentive and answered emails and phone calls in a very timely manner – even with Covid-19 and natural disasters happening all around us! Every person who had their hair and makeup done was absolutely thrilled with the results – including my mom and aunt who are a little harder to please. I had some notes for the team after my hair and makeup trial and every detail was addressed on the day of our wedding. The team arrived right on time, and even finished early! I was thrilled that 4 hair/makeup stylists were sent so that we did not have to start too early in the morning as well. This made for such a relaxed morning and afternoon with beautiful results when we were done! I cant wait to see more photos from our photographer.

I loved having everyone at the wedding venue instead of traveling to a salon and they were able to get through everyone in a few hours. I loved working with Lauren in particular, who was extremely professional, made sure her team was on track and put me at ease. 10/10 would recommend to anyone having a wedding in the Napa area!

Camille Y I’m so happy to have had Elyse and Brenna do the hair and makeup for my wedding. They did a phenomenal job on me and both my mother & sister. From the trial run appointments, to my actual wedding day, they were perceptive to what I wanted done for my wedding look—and girl let me tell you, I got exactly what I asked for. The Hollywood curls on me and braids for my sister were done so beautifully by Elyse. The glam look Brenna did made me look like I had a walking filter on. It made me love the way I looked in my photos. It’s really cheesy to say, but my husband said he got teary eyed when we had our first look. He kept telling me how beautiful I was throughout our wedding day :) I was also very impressed how they handled my mom. I gave them a heads up that she’s very picky and will probably push back on their ideas for her. But they were great with her and talked her through what look would work best for her. She was really happy with their work and how she looked, which is saying a lot because she is a very hard person to please. For any brides looking for a hair & makeup duo, you’re in safe hands with Elyse and Brenna!

Punk Punkster My stylist of 15 years moved, and I decided to go gray and grew my hair for 3 years. It was below my waist, and I was ready for a change. With the help of the internet, I reviewed MANY bios and decided to try Elyse. We spoke on the phone, and I got a reassuring and no pressure vibe from her. At our first appointment she could sense my reluctance at cutting too much at one time. I relayed what I wanted and how I will spend only a limited amount of time on styling my hair, so please keep this in mind. She offered suggestions and said it would probably be best for me to reduce the length over multiple sessions. I agreed. During the first cut she took off a few inches and gave me some shaping and said “go home and live with it.” I was happy and confident in her ability. I returned about two months later and said, “let’s take off a bit more and do more shaping.” On my third visit I asked for “more, more, more plus shaping.” All along I got the feeling Elyse knew this would be my response, but she never pushed me to do more than I was comfortable with in a session. I am now more open to experimentation and more styling because I know when I walk out of the salon my hair looks great and I feel good. She has a calming demeanor, and the salon echoes this trait as it is very clean with a tranquil décor. I highly recommend Elyse for her skill, but even more for being a good listener and creating an enjoyable experience each time I visit.

Shannon Doyle I love this salon so much. Alleyna always does an incredible job, and her main priority is always her clients, which is hard to find. Every time I come in, I know exactly what to expect, and feel comfortable and welcomed. She never lets you leave the salon without making sure that you love your new look. The best stylist I’ve ever had! I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Rebecca Woodruff I hired them for my whole wedding party. We really enjoyed working with these gals day of. The makeup style was over the top glam, which wasn’t exactly what I was going for… so I recommend being very insistent on showing your inspo photos if you cannot afford to do a trial with them (same price as the real deal!). If that’s your style you’ll be pleased as punch. Just beware the lip liner outside your lips. That was one thing I had to remove before the ceremony. The hair was really fun and eclectic, which is what I wanted. I had one bridesmaid who said hers fell out immediately after and she had another friend fix it, but other than that we were all very happy. Elise also worked with my natural curl, which I loved. I got to air dry and be essentially frizz-free! Last note of advise is to pay attention to your order. They did not do crowd control so I ended up going last as the bride and felt it was very rushed!

Shezly Rachidi Garcia If you needed a sign to get a scalp treatment, THIS IS YOUR SIGN! Dolce Vita Salon is extraordinary. The salon itself is beautiful, but what makes this place amazing is the people who work there! This was my first time booking at the salon and a scalp treatment, and from my call with Kimberly, I felt heard and guided. Then, my appointment with Natalie was probably the MOST relaxing and amazing experience I’ve had at a salon. The treatment itself feels relaxing, but her energy, kindness, and love for her work shines through every step of the process. It is also incredibly helpful and informative for scalp health and I felt a difference immediately. Amazing experience, people, and products! Definitely recommend!

Carly Ibanez I recently got my hair done by Sydney Labus, and let me just say it was a 10/10 experience! Her techniques were not only outstanding, they were also extremely comforting. I went in with inspiration pictures that had me feeling nervous for the big change, but she managed to nail the pictures and helped me fall in love with my new look. I absolutely recommend her services as well as the salon to anyone and everyone!

Allie Stern I recently relocated to Santa Rosa from the East Coast and felt a bit overwhelmed when searching for a new salon and stylist. However, I am thrilled that I chose Dolce Vita! The salon is stunning and offers everything needed for a pleasant visit, including a coffee/tea bar and convenient parking behind the building. Alley did an amazing job with my hair! I hadnt had a haircut since April, and she made sure I got the length and style I wanted. I decided to lighten my hair and get balayage with toner, and Alley did an excellent job. Yosef Sahler First time going to get a men’s cut here. I was greeted by an unleashed dog barking and charging at me. And an amplifier turned up to 11 (good music but not the place for that volume). The only stylist was terse and kept trying awkwardly to make small talk by barking/commanding: “tell me about yourself” “tell me about yourself” “tell me about yourself.” She cut my hair unevenly; which I now have gotten fixed at my regular place Halo. And the towels are musty and gross. If you’re into mildly abrasive and zany people and don’t care about your hair, this is the perfect place for you…

Lisa Ross Colleen Wagner is a very talented stylist. She will make your dreams a reality and do the color and cut you want! Plus she is hilarious and fun and makes me Lol! My hair has never looked better. She gave me my first pixie cut and helped me bring out my natural hair color !

Sue Baran Colleen is a treasure! She fit me in when my regular stylist was on maternity leave, and she did a great job! If this salon was closer, shed be my go-to. I have very fine hair and its difficult to make it look substantial but her suggestions and work were perfect. I had heard of her talent through others, and now am happy to pass along the recommendation. p.s. Im not sure what that 1-star review is about, but I think he has her confused with someone else because she is not a drinker or smoker, nor did her hands shake. Or maybe he has an agenda...

ROBYN Chittister My 12-yo daughter thinks she knows everything about hair and wont let me touch it. The last time we got her hair done, Juliana noticed that the hair is damaged. I talked to Juliana about having a general hair care appointment, where she could show my daughter what she should be doing. I booked that appointment, and Juliana was wonderful! Took my daughter through all the steps and products, and even gave us some products as well. Then, she did some wonderful braids! My daughter loves them and wants to keep them for the foreseeable future. Everyone agrees her hair looks great!

Tina Lowe Juliana did not put in my box braids, but another woman working with her, did! I am very happy with the results. Juliana never disappointed me nor did this new woman (so sorry, I do not remember her name).
