Justin Rye I have been looking for a good men’s haircut in Novato for over a year and got my haircut with Kendra yesterday. This will definitely be my go-to for haircuts from now on! Great conversation and a great haircut!

Mo Rowland Love this place. Kendra is the best! Her prices are extremely reasonable and she consistently gives me the best cut and style.

Robert Zarren Kendra is sweet and very skilled at cutting my hair. I definitely recommend her for your future hair cutting needs.

Alexandria Reynolds Kendra immediately saw how to make the most subtle update to my imperceptible highlights. Covered the slight grey, slightly lightened, enriched lowlights, super shiny and natural. True artist and a real people. Comfortable environment. Reasonable price. Two years and a few services later, her talent with cut and color only grows. Im picky ( who isnt about their hair?) and she might be the best stylist Ive ever had. I get a lot of compliments on my haircut style. Thanks Kendra!

Jamie Jensen Such a good experience. The Salon is super clean, and I absolutely love Hannahs coloring skills. All the gals are up to date with the newest latest hair techniques. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wanted a good cut or color. Hannah is also is a barber, so some of the men in our family go to her specifically for that. I cant say enough good things about this place, as soon as you walk in you will instantly feel the all around good vibes.

Deena Blas Really disappointed in trying to get my hair done with Mia Robertson. I went to her initially and to her credit, did a great job. Rescheduled a follow-up and was told by Mia she couldnt do my hair but could have one of her other stylists. That person did a mediocre job. I was trying to get an A-line cut and although I asked her several times that I wanted more of a slant, it still looked like a bob gone awry. Gave up and went home and had my daughter fixed it. Took my business to Dukes and Dolls in Petaluma. They are excellent but difficult to get in quickly. On a whim decided to give Robertson Roe another shot. I wanted a cut and color and wildly enough was able to get in with Mia. But apparently they could only do the cut and so instead of just keeping my appt, they cancelled the whole thing. Yes, they did try to call me and left a voicemail but I wasnt expecting a call and dont listen to voicemails in this day and age of solicitation calls. They sent me one text, the day they cancelled. Called to ask what the deal was to which I was told by Mia that she couldnt get me in until 3 weeks out but of course I can see one of her other stylists. I dont recommend this business because their communication is terrible and it seems to be a bait and switch using Mia to pull in clientele and then pass off to her other stylists that are not very good.

Regan Overholt Mia is absolutely amazing! Ive never been disappointed by her coloring and cut skills and completely trust her. I should; I drive 90 minutes and have been for 30+ years!!!

Christine lasus Samantha at Avenue Salon is the only person I go to. I followed her from San Rafael years and years ago. She does everything perfectly from cuts to color. My highest recommendation.

Samala Bernier I called asking availability same day and there was none, but I was not asked if I want to schedule for another day or any other customer service friendly questions. I felt as if I was bothering them by calling.

Stephanie Yee I brought my 22 month son to get a haircut here and they were really great. It was his first haircut so they let him settle in (he wasnt sure what was going on) and gave him a hip clean haircut for $25! Nice people who work there.

Makayla Wells First time attending this salon honestly at first I was skeptical since there is two main hair dressers and they get busy. the lady that did my hair was pleasant and over all nice had a great attitude the salon itself was a great setting and atmosphere. She really took her time charged me $290 for almost 4 hours of service and I’m truly in love with my results will be getting my hair dyed with her from now on. While my toner was setting she gave me gummy bears and water which was very nice because I was getting hangry lol. She did a deep mask and a trim and styled my hair. thank you guys I love my hair

Cristina Godinez My hair stylist, Martha and Susana, make you feel welcomed and have nice conversations with you. My hair always turns out frizzy after a blow dry but here it did not at all and was silky and soft.The hair wash is so relaxing and refreshing. They make sure they make your hair the way you want it and suggest other ways you would like it(i.e ask for layers).

Ellen Segale Martha Lua has been my stylist for more than 10 years. The pictures I posted of my peacock colored hair are recent (Spring & Summer 2019) and did NOT require prior bleaching before she added these colors. These are permanent colors (chlorine is not a friend and will strip) and the colors stay vibrant and bold for quite some time. This salon isnt the typical noisy, crowded and full of gossip salon. Mani, pedi, color specialists. Plenty of free parking. FYI.... MANE LOUNGE SALON is the new name, with a new owner. Same terrific styists!

Teri Hayes Greatest place to relax and get beautified!! Tiffany is simply the best always listens to requests, as I sat there I heard her other customer say "do what u want I trust you!" I say that too! Im always pleased after I visit Tiffany, she is truly amazing!

Barbara Johnstone I called to make an appointment and told the person who answered that I had not been to a salon in over 20 years. She said "I have the perfect person for you" and made me an appointment to see Tiffany the same day! I went in and told her to do what she thought was best, I just said I wanted my hair lighter and that was all. We had such a nice conversation as she highlighted and cut my hair, I found out we have a lot in common which is a bonus! I have to say I am thrilled with what she did. Everyone I see is like "wow your hair is so cute"! I feel like a new person. I can now say I have a hairdresser! Thank you Tiffany, you ROCK!

Nargess Lonero I came in for a simple blow out and style which could not be handled or done appropriately. I was told the stylist could do a blow out. I left with my hair looking worse than when i walked in. Do not recommend.

Paul Swank Song has been cutting my hair since I left the Military back in 1995. At that time I still wore a Flat top and was Surprised at how much better his Flattop was, compared to the one I got on Post at the Barber. Nearly thirty years later and a few Hairstyles too, I still make my way in to see him and look forward to knowing, that I will be Happy and pleased with his talent and attention to detail. Alex Brown Im writing this review because my barber, Andy recently moved to Hair 101 from Best Hair in Novato. He has been giving me great haircuts for about three years now and I have always been happy with the results. I am very loyal to my barbers so when I find a good one they become my person. If youre looking for a barber who takes his time and pays attention to detail then Andy is your guy. Give him a try and you wont regret it.

Alison Nelson Ive been a customer since Angelic Hair Design opened and a customer of Marthas even before that. Martha is wonderful. I am always pleased with the results. Plus, they are very affordable.

Ann Allen Martha is a gifted colorist. She’s been my hairdresser for over 5 years and I am always pleased with the results. She also is skilled at Keratin treatment. I highly recommend her!

Hannah Dye Martha is great! She’s been doing my hair for 5 years and always does a fabulous job. She takes her time with the highlights, cut, and style; making sure everything is exactly right. It is easy to book an appointment and the pricing is consistently fair. The salon is clean and nicely decorated. Cash only. Highly recommend.

Erica Campos Marta is amazing! I’ve been getting my hair cut, colored/highlighted and keratin treatments for years from her. My mother and sister go to her as well and we all love her work every time. She takes great care and is very detail-oriented. She’s very responsive in booking appointments and I never feel rushed. Her blowouts at the end are absolutely the best. I always leave feeling like a million bucks!

Magnolia Orleans Angelica’s skills are amazing! A friend recommended her, and I am very impressed. My hair is a bit difficult, and I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but I got an very flattering style, after putting myself in her capable hands. In addition to a cut, I got some highlights, which help blend the grey that is sprouting up! She was also able to match some previous highlights. The whole look is complementary to my face, is functional, fun, and was just what I wanted (but didn’t know!). I’m looking forward to more creative styles with Angelica.

Faith W I was hesitant to get my haircut with someone new as I have really thick curly hair. Angela took her time with my hair and did a great job! She made sure I was comfortable with everything we were doing before jumping ahead, her chair side manner is great. She makes this a fun and welcoming space for everyone! She used innersense product line and did some detox and deep conditioning treatments. My curls definitely looked more defined leaving her salon. Overall, my hair came out great and still felt happy and healthy following the appointment.

Whitney Pacheco This place is fabulous! My son had his very first haircut with Ann Marie this week and I was extra nervous that he would have a toddler meltdown and that we would need to reschedule, especially since we were planning using clippers on the back and sides which can definitely be scary to a child who hasn’t experienced them. Ann Marie saw that my son was playing comfortably at their toy table so she brought her tools over to him and did his hair cut while he played with toys and watched shows on the tablet she provided. She had a great game plan of starting off with a bigger guard to get it done fast (in case he tapped out, so we would at least get something done) and then when he tolerated that she moved on to a shorter/cleaner look. She also gave me great tips on hair care for my daughter who is autistic and has very curly hair that is hard to manage with her sensory sensitivities. She took an adorable picture of my son and gave us a certificate and a lock of his hair as a keepsake, all for a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend Snipz Novato for your child’s first hair cut!!

The magic touch she had was evident as my baby stayed still, engrossed in the iPad videos she provided. Mia Wise Worst barber shop, customer service and the price... THEY ARE RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED, 50$ for a mans haircut? This place is awful. Great clips haircut for Hollywood prices?! My boyfriend looks terrible. No chance he asked for his hair cut so badly.. Its been almost 2 months and no one has tried to refund him or call. He wears a hat daily. Hes out 60$ for a haircut that looks like Helen Keller herself did it.

Saul Good These dudes give great haircuts, however they charge way to much. Believe it or not I got a better hair cut at another spot for 23 bucks. I guess what bothered me was a basic clean up for 50 bucks? However the cut before was a full cut and I was charged less....40. No worries. NEXT!

Jason Edmiston The place is very nice, however I did get one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had. The lady that cut my hair was definitely in a rush and wanted to leave as I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I asked for a .5 on the sides and when I left and got home I noticed how uneven it was across and around my head, with a patch completely missed. The top was cut by clippers with a large guard and it was uneven. She was very sweet but definitely seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I don’t see myself getting another haircut there.

Dodie E What an inviting place full of history! Malalai cut my hair and did such a great job (and so fast) that I am thrilled! She cares for her clients and listens to your requests. The shop is a delight with a singing canary named Ringo and original barber stations with pictures of past haircuts from the 60s! Oh and for those seasoned customers, a Burma Shave sign posted on the walls. Full of charm and caring people.

Jonah Mehler Easily the worst “haircut” I’ve ever gotten. Made me change my appointment to half an hour earlier than scheduled so that my haircutter could make her train home, which I was happy to do. However she rushed my haircut to the point where she just ran my entire head over with a razor and cut like two hairs, AND she made me check when her train was leaving mid cut. The whole fiasco took less than ten minutes, and she literally mowed down my hair without any stylistic changes, even after I told her simple instructions about how wanted it a little longer on the top. Should be a crime to call it a haircut, my 5 year old cousin with garden shears could have done better. Please, for your hair’s sake, never go here.

Nadeen Hamzeh Very bad experience with hair styling and color. Ramona did what she wanted without listening to me and chose a mix of colors when asked to do a dark brown color. She insists to finish the job even when the client seems unhappy and asks her to stop.

Steve Ramsey Its hard to review Salon Decadence as an establishment alone, because its more about the individual stylists. The place itself is fine...it has all the salon things you would expect in a salon and all the stylists Ive observed seem to have a loyal and happy clientele. I dont think the salon gets a lot of walk-in traffic, despite its central Novato location. Probably could use a more prominent sign. My personal experience is having Linh as my hair stylist for many years. Shes fantastic and cuts, colors, and styles my hair perfectly every four weeks. She has a loyal following and always has room for more. Ask for Linh!

Christie Swedbergh Disappointed. Drove 35 min to get there then sat 25 min to find they lost my appointment. Owner basically blamed me for not getting the name of the person on the phone or hairstylist.

Definitely will be going back soon.

B Ray Got a haircut here on 10/13. I booked with Lori and honestly the whole appointment was a little odd to me. First she made awkward comments about the Hispanic Heritage Month music playing and it being weird, then she cut a huge chunk out of the front left side part of my hair and panicked saying “that was really short but it just didn’t blend. I needed to blend it” and just kept rambling on about it which obviously let me know it was too short. Both sides of my hair are different lengths now. My bangs were cut too short but that’s fine they grow fast. Just wish the rest of my hair hadn’t been cut so Willy Nilly. About halfway through the haircut Lori calls over the Benefit Brow girl and tries to upsell me on brow services that I don’t want. Super awkward. Will not be returning over all sadly. Was really hoping for a more affordable haircut in the Bay Area but I learned my lesson on this one. The girls at the checkout area, however, were all a pleasure.

janie villegas Disappointed with Customer Service at Ulta I had a very disappointing experience with Jennifer at Ulta. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn’t greet me or say good morning, and when I tried to be polite and asked if she was okay, she responded with an attitude and looked visibly annoyed. Her demeanor made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Ulta, customer service is a key part of the shopping experience! Please ensure that your employees treat customers with kindness and professionalism. A warm and friendly greeting goes a long way in making shoppers feel valued.

Mellie May The store is great for what it has, but the employees that work here are not good. The indifference, the attitudes, the way they make you feel like you’ve done something wrong for just being there is straight up unacceptable. They are often no help but when they are you have to deal with eye rolls and rudeness, they cop an attitude if you ask a question and seem beyond irritated when checking you out. If this was a one off experience I wouldn’t be saying anything, but this is an every single time experience. Like please corporate fix your eyes on this location and get it together. How is this acceptable?

LN T In the last 2 times I’ve come in, managers at this site at customer service, have been surprisingly short and rude to customers including this week. If you ask a question you get a blunt “NO” and a stare and a walk off. No helping or trying to be welcoming. They are too busy chit chatting or gossiping. This store used to be so great! I think I rather go to a store to purchase products where employees are always friendly, willing to help you, and make your experience pleasant so you’ll keep coming back again and again. Thanks but no thanks.
