Laura P. I needed to have my hair returned to its original color from a previous dye job - done at a different establishment - a few months back. I was basically a half and half with the grays showing at the top. Isabel was an incredible stylist who knew right away what needed to be done. She made me comfortable, let me know exactly what she was going to do, and walked me through the process from beginning to end. When it was over, I had my original hair color back! Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and look forward to going back in the future! Thank you, Isabel! :)

Eva Barbaro Heather saved my hair!! I found this place on google/yelp after relocating to LB and going to a salon that did a sad job on my hair elsewhere. The owner got back to me a few hrs after contacting them, and the stylist that they booked me with, Heather, was fabulous! Stoked to have found a new salon to visit regularly. The place has a fun layout, is clean, professional, and has friendly staff. There is a great energy about the place and ppl working there. Stoked to have found them, and to recommend them to anyone in search if an awesome place to look after their hair! :D

Leah Goold-Haws Go see Javier! Found this salon online and as it was near my home, decided to go. The Yelp ratings also helped me make a decision. In any case, Javier was the stylist I booked my appointment with and all I can say is WOW! Great service, laid back, didnt make me feel awkward about cut or color and I came out with the best cut, easy style and color I still get compliments on. Go see Javier!

Brittany Clark Holly did not do my hair, there was another stylist who did it. I came in and wanted a root touch up on my extremely dark roots. I got an on scalp bleach and tone. The bleach was burning my scalp and I wanted to get it rinsed off but she insisted not too because it would be brassy but I didn’t even care at that point. When I went to wash my hair SO much of my hair fell out. There were chunks of my hair down to my waist and I usually do my own hair and that has never happened before.

Kelly Hanson Holly has been cutting and coloring my hair for over a decade and I still drive 40 minutes because she is worth it. She is the nicest person and I always love how my hair turns out. I get a number of compliments too. With Covid, they have added a fantastic outdoor setup, even with a place to wash hair!

Amanda Everly Honestly my favorite salon I’ve ever been to. It’s the perfect size, intimate but still chic. The vibe is laid back and beautiful. All the stylists are crazy talented and really kind. My fave is Nina—she’s a complete magician with hair. Color is her THING. I’ve been blonde, brunette and red with her, and I’ve never left her chair anything short of infatuated with my hair. Plus she’s so down-to-earth and makes you feel immediately at home. 10/10 recommend ⭐️

Her level of professionalism continues to be top notch, starting and ending her appointments on time. She is extremely knowledgeable and patiently answers questions and provides recommendation on how to care for your hair between visits. I know I’m in good hands in her seat— she provides a consistent experience and quality each time— whether I’m styling my natural hair or doing braids/weaves/color treatments. She does it all and is skilled.

Aijah Brunson I have been going to Class of Elegance for over 10 years. I’ve gotten many hairstyles with Ms. Monique, the shop’s owner. The styles I’ve personally received range from wash & condition, coloring, box braids, cornrows, press & flat iron, haircuts, bangs, as well as individual braid styles. There’s a reason I’ve stayed consistent with Class of Elegance — Ms. Monique is the best! She not only does beautiful hairstyles, but she takes pride in helping her clients maintain healthy hair. She takes the time to get to know her clients, their hair type, and what is best for their hair. She is also very professional, and runs her business very well. Davo Dilemmas I have been here multiple times and Touchd Hair Studios does NOT miss…great work by everyone. The braider Sydney has really outdone herself with my hair and the owner Joy is so nice. I’ve enjoyed all of my experiences and look forward to future services. You may have to answer a lot of questions when booking but it’s to ensure you’re receiving the style/service you want. They’re all about making sure you get what you’re paying for. Highly recommend. Tell a friend to tell a friend and another friend!

Irene Conforti Joy and Ashley are a dream team. Highly recommend Ashley’s cut and color. Joy has a specialty in beautiful extensions. Together they made the entire service feel extraordinary. Grateful for the level of detail and attention they paid to my hair from start to finish. Setting the appointment was super easy. I have a latex allergy and they accommodated without skipping a beat. Beyond that the salon has good energy. And most importantly my hair looks great! The color is exactly what I asked for and my hair looks healthy with the layered cut. Getting your hair done at Touch’d is a worthwhile luxury.

Morgan Hamilton Joy is an amazing and knowledgeable hair stylist. Not only is she diverse in her styling services, she cares about the health and maintenance of her clients hair. Christine Grisanti I usually see Nika. She did a great job coloring and cutting my hair in the past. I called today to make an appointment with her however she’s on vacation. They were able to give me in with a different stylist Unfortunately I forgot his name. He also did a great job. I was so happy they could squeeze me in last minute like that. They are friendly and reasonably priced. I’m always pleased with my results. Thanks guys

Lorraine Gallegos So I really wanted a perm very hesitant but I did it anyway wish I never did I went there. Everybody was very nice. Good customer service had a girl do my hair. She was very fast. She didnt leave the permanent long enough. My hair was totally not the curl I wanted when I showed her a picture that I wanted. She cut my hair without even telling me how much she was cutting. So when I went home the next day I told her my hair was not even curly on top. She told me To come in, but that she would have to cut more of my hair. She already had cut off by 3 inches. She said that the curl would get tighter if she cut my hair absolutely not. She never even called me back to see how my hair was. It was such a waste of money. Never again. My hair is 2 months out and its straight. And dead It was like I went into a salon to get my haircut and burnt. Thats it. I wish I could post a picture on here of my hair.

Isabel Macias I’ve been going to Shear n Shine for 10 years now! I usually have Ken do my hair, I just love him, but if for some reason he’s not available, Ben has done my hair. He’s awesome too! Soreda, is incredible, but book in advance, as her availability is limited. 5 stars plus!!!!

Kyvalee Nguyen A bit of a delayed review but I went to Janet back in January for a hair cut. I found her thanks to a friend recommending her to me and also finding out she did my mom’s wedding hair. It was so easy to book an appointment and come the next day to be welcome by her and her mother. They make you feel so welcome and the atmosphere is so calm and relaxing. Janet does amazing work with cutting hair and I love the way she layered my hair for a wolf cut. It still looks so good even after half a year of growing it out again, the layers still look so good. I would definitely come here again to get anything done to my hair.

A. I asked for her to trim my bangs, and she thinned them out instead. I look like Im balding, and no matter what I do, it just looks awful. This is the best their gonna get.

Jordan Sanchez Cherry Blossom Hair Studio exceeded my expectations for a blowout experience. From the moment I stepped into the salon, I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Janet transformed my hair into a flawless and voluminous blowout. She left my hair stunning, incredibly soft, and manageable. Her and her mom are so sweet! Cant recommend this place enough.

Daisy Yoeung This review is long overdue. I have been going to Janet at the Cherry Blossom for a couple of years now. My hair is coarse, wavy, frizzy and dry (I use a lot of heat products). Until I met Janet, I always had trouble finding someone who could work with my hair type. I always come in with a picture inspiration or something in mind and Janet does magic to my hair. I’ve always left happy with my new do. We have played around with so many colors and styles from ombre, balayage, to single color dye. Most recently I wanted the rose gold look and I was so happy with how it came out. Before I left that visit, she gave me tips on how to keep the color vibrant and products to use to prevent it from fading. Being that my hair is so wavy, frizzy and hard to manage I had her do the Brazilian blowout on one of my visits. It was a process, but It left my hair so silky smooth and I probably didn’t use any heat products for over 6 months because I had no need to. If you have my hair type you probably know what I am talking about when it comes to having to style it every day in order to manage it, but this helped. I will definitely be doing a Brazilian Blowout again. The last part of my review is on wedding hair do. I got married last year and being that Janet knows how to work with my hair I decided she should be the one to do my wedding hair. I really wanted hair extensions for my wedding, so she helped me choose the right brand and hair pieces. I had a hair trial with her before the wedding to work on my inspiration of half up and half down with my hair extensions. The day of the wedding the style came out perfect and my hair-do stayed in place until I went to sleep that night. Needless to say Janet knows her stuff and I always look forward to my next hair appointment to play with some new styles and colors.

They were professional, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect. The salon atmosphere was relaxing, and I left feeling refreshed and confident. Karen Washburn Ness Michelle is the absolute best. She has been doing my hair for 20 plus years, and the service is nothing short of amazing EVERY time. I get endless compliments on my hair, and I have her to thank. The whole D&D team is top notch.

Al Do I booked to see Daniela for a haircut. I do have fairly wavy hair and was hoping to get a cut that would help to enhance my curl pattern. I’ve been with my previous hairstylist for over 8 years and sadly she moved away. I am thankful to have booked an appointment with Daniela. The way she explained her cut to me just made sense. There was a method to her technique. She ended the cut and mentioned to me that it was our first interaction and she is learning about my hair, so it may take a few times to get a better understanding what my hair type needs. I was amazed and pleased to leave the salon with a new style and look. Many stylists in the past would get lost or give up on my hair. Her persistence to learn what my concerns and expectations really helped me stay at ease. I’m grateful and pleased with my hair. My curl pattern is more defined and my hair feels much lighter without the frizz.

Mary Ann Bailey The service and experience at Dean Anthony is unmatched. Michelle always gives amazing cuts and style and her cororing is always great! I’ve even stated bringing my daughter and she loves the experience as well!

Hannah Hesseltine Everyone at this salon was nice, including my stylist. However, I would not recommend this salon for young women with short hair. I came in with pictures of how I style my hair when it’s freshly cut and in its natural texture. Instead of honoring what I asked for, I proceeded to get cut as if I asked for a rounded (and dramatic) French Bob. Think Lord Farquaad cut. My hair now has layers that I didn’t ask for or want. It’s shorter in the back. The entire cut is noticeably uneven. It sits like it was hacked by a weed whacker and its very bottom heavy. And sadly, now, it’s incredibly difficult to style in the ways I’ve always styled my short hair which before, was low maintenance and cute. I would come in to get it fixed, but I’m unsure I’d trust the salon enough to make the necessary changes (or if it’s even fixable until it’s grown out). Overall, really disappointed and don’t feel the stylist took my opinions and requests into account when cutting. I won’t be back and I’m frustrated that I paid so much money for my hair to be ruined. I’m sad to leave this review, but I’m so disappointed with the cut that I feel I need to. :/ I’ve included photos for reference, including photos of my hair after my last cut at another salon (black shirts) and how I typically style it (waved and straight). I showed these photos to the stylist and asked for exactly that cut, but it was not what I received. Photos in the sweatshirt are of my hair this weekend after a cut at Dean Anthony.

CJ Jilly Diana got skills. Her colleague is also very nice and very good at haircuts. When you get a bad haircut somewhere, its not just a bad day. Could be a bad month. Straight traumatic! Never have that problem here. Diana has never messed up my hair and I always leave feeling glad I chose to go to her. Ive come from the OC before just to get her to do it because I have 100% confidence in her skills! Even though its mostly women they do an excellent mens haircut. Very affordable. I cant believe the prices some of these places are charging for a fade. Not Diana at Hair Basix. They come thru.....HARD! Every. Time!

Cheryl Estep I have been looking for a new stylist for over 6 months. I was bouncing around and was never really happy with my style or color. Today I made a last minute booking with Laiza. I am beyond happy with the results. When you walk in you get a sense of family. They work as a team, collaborating and helping each other. It has a great vibe. And the shampoo bowl is actually comfortable! Very different than most salons. Laiza was meticulous in applying my color. Oscar gave me a cute sassy style. I absolutely love my hair! Brenna Wahl I had been looking for a new hairdresser after moving to Long Beach a few months ago, and after doing some research I made an appointment with Danielle for a cut and balayage! Not only is she a freakin pleasure to talk to, she knows what shes doing! Im so happy I found her! Plus, the salon itself is so cute, and have they have coffee/beer/other drinks which is fun.

Nicole Stevenson I made a 5:30 pm appointment with Ross for 12/24. I confirmed by clicking the link I received by text the day before. Ross then texted me at 4:35 pm the day of my appointment, asking if I was coming in, and I received a cancellation text at 4:42 pm. Thats 7 minutes. I was driving to the salon! He was clearly looking for an excuse to cancel with the unnecessary last minute text. It was an unprofessional mess.

Tess Alexander Brenda is the best in the business! She is a blonde colorist specialist who I am so grateful to have to do my hair! Ive been coming to her since summer of this year and gradually she has given me the hair color of my dreams each time it’s that beach bunny blonde ashy icy blonde I’ve always dream of of but couldn’t find anyone to do it! Brenda is amazing because she wants the best for your hair and the overall integrity of it while getting to you the color/level you wish to obtain! She is fast, quick, and uses her time quickly! She works very fast and has wonderful communication and puts any person at ease entering her chair. I absolutely had adored coming to this salon and can’t wait to re- book again! If you are a blonde and need someone to go to Brenda is your girl!! 10/10

Christine Favata Alondra cut and colored by hair, which we anticipated would be a big job. It took nearly 7 hours because we ended up doing a full head balayage blonde and shaping of my bangs. A cut, color, and blowout/styling set me around $700-ish but I will tell you she KNOCKED it out of the park. Seriously, a job well done. It was like she hand-painted every strand of my hair to match the exact color and placement I wanted. She worked her magic and ended up undoing a lot of damage that I brought in with me previously. She is a wizard in what she does. It did take all day, because I have long thick hair, but it was worth the wait. Thank you Alondra! You are a pro.
