Lisa Greif I have been seeing Hannah for highlights and haircuts for the past 12 years—and now she’s opened up her very own salon! I visited yesterday and got my usual highlights and layers, but what most struck me was her amazing new place that is clean, professional, and welcoming. Hannah is amazingly talented with hair, her personality is perfect for a fun chat, and I always leave feeling brand new. She also does color touchups, smoothing treatments, and blowouts. I’ve seen her also do great kids’ and men’s cuts. Thanks Hannah!

Rebecca B Hannah has cut and colored my hair for years - shes the best. Hannah is always in a good mood and she consistently gives great haircuts. She manages to take whatever idea I have and make it better so that I end up with a style that really suits my hair and lifestyle. I am so excited that Hannah has finally opened her own place. Fringe is super cute, exceedingly clean and in a great location.

Mary Williams I booked my daughter for a $75.00 haircut with Hannah. When she arrived home 20 mins later, she had a $75.00 bang trim. Unscruplous business owner.

Marie Krug Hannah is amazing. I have been seeing her for years and would not go to anyone else! She is very skilled and efficient! With other stylists, I have sat in the chair for hours and hours as they struggle to work with my thick wavy hair- but Hannah, she gets it done in literally half the amount of time and it always comes out perfectly. When I want to change things up a bit with a different cut or color, Hannah always listens and works with me to create a new look that works for my hair and lifestyle. She now sees my kids and my husband too and they love her as well! She is very good with kids- they think shes cool :) Her new salon is comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. She has COVID-safe protocols which I appreciate.

Colleen Sargent I visited Fringe Salon for the first time this afternoon and was blown away. Hannah shampooed, cut, dried, and styled my thick straight hair in record time, taking into account that I am very low-maintenance when it comes to styling on my own. My hair feels refreshed, and looks fabulous! Hannahs salon is clean and tidy, and she was so easy to communicate with. Highly recommend if you are looking for a skilled, friendly, and efficient hair stylist in Davis.

S B I got my hair cut there by the short cute girl with tattoos and piercings. She did an excellent job and she will definitely have my repeat business. Call and ask for Casey, she listens to you and doesnt treat you like you dont know what youre talking about or what you want.

Sophie Barbu After accidentally going a little crazy with the hair clippers and nearly giving myself a mohawk (oops-covid home hair), decided to get my hair done by super talented stylist Casey Callahan at Salon Blonde. It was my first time at the salon and am really pleased! She worked her magic and am SO thankful! Casey was so professional, friendly, listened to what I wanted, and cut my hair beautifully! Also, the salon is stylish and cool, really neat vibe there. Was SUPER impressed with the salons safety measures (sanitizing and temp taken on arrival+only appointments allowed inside+plexi between wash stations, masks, only 2 clients when was there incl. me, seperate rooms for each stylist, etc)! Highly recommend!

Anh Dinh Jill is a friendly; kind and humorous hair stylist. I got my haircut here and I was very satisfied with the service. The salon has a beautiful decoration and the dog is so cute and adorable. Overall I’m very satisfied with the service here, but be sure to book an appointment online ahead of time cause sometimes if you stop by without booking an appointment there’ll be no available slots. But yes absolutely recommend this place and will come back the next time

dandelion. I was contemplating writing this, however I really think it’s best I put it out there. Please don’t get a bleach job done here if you have dark colored hair, especially a dark brown to black tone. I went in fully expecting a balayage and came back with very orange colored bleach hair. It was traumatizing, to say the least. While the vibes of the salon were wonderful, I am now stuck with this brassy colored hair, to the point that I’ve had to order a semi-permanent dye just to cover it up. I even tried toning it with purple shampoo and it’s still very orangey. My hair has patches as well, it’s just a horrible mess. I’m really saddened, because it seemed as though they knew what they were doing and I was very excited to have new hair before the new year. I’m sure for a quick blowdry or haircut, this is a great salon to go to, but for bleaching conditions — I’d say look somewhere else. Really disappointing.

Danielle Lowther Strands was excellent. They were able to squeeze me in the same day. I showed the stylist, Janette, an example photo and described what i wanted. She gave me a nice neck rub, wash, cut and quick style. I love my new cut!

The cut turned out great, and she did it exactly as the picture I showed her. The extra touch of the shower and massage was so relaxing. Definitely will be going back for my next haircut. Jon I’ve been going to the Davis Sports clips for over 5 years. Seen stylist come and go. But Sami is always great. And she ensures that location is run well for the franchise owner. Huge asset and she should be treated as such. Always a pleasure to see her and talk with her.

Eric Martinez I got a beard trim because my clippers had broke. I went to this place and had it done and let me tell u, once the steam towel hit my face. I was in pure relax mode. The service was easy and quick, Sammy was great and made me feel comfortable. Def go see her!!! *I walked in and the wait wasn’t bad at all!!!! Def go.

Angelica Medina Carol has done an exceptional job maintaining my balayage/ baby highlights. She added really cute money pieces in the front and leaves my hair feeling so soft and shiny. From the moment I sat in her chair she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable—she even offers drinks and snacks! I highly recommend her.

Gray Blair Went for my first haircut in 6 months and Carolynn absolutely saved me. Im growing out my hair but also wanted layers and face framing and she added so much dimension without taking off too much length! I also have some natural curls and she knew just how to manage it. 100% recommend!

Isabella Triana I went here to get a cut to revive my waves and my hair stylist Carolynn really delivered! She was knowledgeable about my hair type (wavy, fine hair) and gave me a cut that maximized layers and kept the fullness. She also gave me bangs that were the perfect length for my wavy hair and even offered to let me come back and shorten them if need be! My hair looks amazing and has so many more waves. 10/10 would recommend

Eduardo Romo I have been going to Carolina / carolynn for a couple years now, every time I leave my hair is beyond my expectations she manages to bring my ideas to reality and always makes it perfect and I’m always feeling so gorgeous. The atmosphere at the salon is always so warm and bubbly and welcoming. I feel right at home. I love my conversations with Carol and not only is she my hairstylist now, but I consider her friend I highly recommend not only Carol but every single one of those ladies are working hard every day to make your expectations come to reality if I could sit in the salon every day and just be with those lovely ladies, I would definitely As they are all so lovely and have a great personalities I love Carol’s Vibe and beautiful personality. I have to say the owner Anamaria is such a gem! She makes you feel like a part of her family so loving and welcoming, her hugs give me comfort.. she has no idea I look forward to her hug when I go in. Grace Fruto Best hair salon Ive ever been to. Carolynn has been cutting my hair for whats coming up on four years now and I have no complaints. Youll always get the same stellar quality with each cut and the salons rates are great for students on a budget. The staff here are friendly, respectful, and will try to accommodate you if given notice. Theyre also really good at cutting curly hair! Its hard to find a hair dresser up here who knows how to handle curly hair, but Carolynn has never once mismanaged my curls. Thank you, as always :)

Tania Mannion Ive been getting my hair done by Stacia before she opened Pomegranate and I continue to go because she is simply the best. Whether Im looking for a stylish cut and color or growing my hair out, Im always in good hands. My son has started getting his hair done by Monica and she does a great job with his curly, unruly hair. Everyone there is super professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

Caron McMillan I have been going to Pomegranate Salon since 2006. They have become family. Stacia is an awesome stylist. Stacia is the only hairdresser my teenage daughter will go to. I have watched my daughter grow in confidence when transforming from long always tied back hair to a modern colored short style. She is always getting compliments from strangers and even Justin Furstenfeld (lead singer of Blue October) complimented her hair during his concert. I definitely recommend Pomegranate Salon.

Emily Spencer I saw great reviews about this salon on google so I decided to check it out to get 6 inches off my hair. My stylist appeared to know what she was doing at first but the haircut itself felt very rushed and when I got home, I noticed that it was very uneven, specifically on the left side. I had to even it out myself, something that should have been more thoroughly done at the salon. My stylist also did not really try to converse with me at all and it was a pretty boring experience. Was definitely not worth $60. I would recommend E street salon instead, I went there a few months ago and they were great!

I’m black and I tell not many other ethnic background can cut a black person’s hair but Phu can! Men if you wanna pamper up, get your nails done there too. Ladies are great and fast.

Erick Navarrete Very clean and elegant barbershop. It was about time Davis got a barbershop that matched the town. Every time I go I make an appointment and have never been disappointed it is a new business and ran by a young entrepreneur who is giving it his all to make his dreams come true. Every business has their struggles in the begging but Julio is very passionate and the studio has evolved since it first opened till now and will continue to get better I have no doubt about it. From the music that was playing to the conversations that were taking place made me feel like home and a new friendship was created. joshi akshay I had an extremely disappointing experience at this salon. The staff seemed mostly undertrained and inexperienced, and they did not follow my instructions properly. Despite explaining my preferences clearly, the result was the worst haircut I’ve ever had. It felt like the person cutting my hair was either new or lacked the necessary skills. I am unhappy with the service. I will never visit this shop and not recommend to others.

Paris Mangan Jerry and Christine cut my son and husband’s hair. Jerry had cut my husbands hair for over a decade and my husband won’t let anyone else touch his hair because Jerry is the only one he trusts. They’re so good with my toddler, he feels so safe there and is able to get his hair cut without any issues. I highly recommend the style lounge!

Juliette Price One of those photos is a before the rest are afters…if you couldn’t tell lol. I bleached my hair myself making it an unflattering brassy orangey color and she fixed me up so well, going back to my original color and then adding in some highlights too. Angie is hard working and such a sweet woman, I definitely recommend!

Connor Sortman Angie is fantastic. My hair is wiry and difficult to work with, and it had been a little over a year since my last haircut. But Angie handled it like a champ. Its like shed been cutting my hair for years. If youre considering getting a haircut from this establishment, I highly recommend you do.

Teresa A Awful!! I’m devastated! SUCH A BAD HAIRCUT THAT I HAVE TO WEAR A WIG OR BEANIE CAP NOW! When I returned and showed Angie how awful the cut is, she offered nothing. I wear a feminine short haircut and went to Angie for a trim of the cut she gave me during a previous visit. She evidently got too busy or very confused and thought she had a man in the chair. She gave me a man’s haircut- shaved around the ears and nearly no hair on the sides. How humiliating this is for me! A horrible ugly haircut is 1 thing. But Angie could care less about customer satisfaction or keeping customers. When I went back to the salon nearly in tears, with my hair under a beanie cap, she tried to blame it on me not giving her proper instructions about the cut I wanted!! She then whispered sorry and watched me walk out the door without offering any remedy. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

Carly Cooper Went in for a gel manicure with previous gel on and a month’s worth of growth. Salon was very clean, a welcoming environment, and the woman who did my nails was absolutely wonderful. Got exactly what I wanted. $45 total, so a great price too. Will definitely be coming back!

Shannah Whithaus I love it here. Prices for their pedicures are so reasonable, and the atmosphere is super chill. I always leave feeling relaxed and pampered. And my toes look great to boot. The polish lasts for weeks and weeks (the photo is nearly 2 weeks after my last visit). Never going anywhere else!

Soo Lee Best mani Ive ever gotten! I told Sue I had sensitive nails and I could tell that she was very gentle and seemed very professional and experienced. I showed her a design and did not expect it to come out that similar. She was hesistant at first but she told me that she would try and really nailed the color, design, and shape. The price was very reasonable as well! I will definitely come here again!

Manu Saini I recommend everyone to come here (especially UCD students) if they want to get a quality haircut. If you are looking for a fade or taper, this is the place to go. This place is also super affordable ($25) which is crazy for the quality of haircuts you get when you come here. Lilly, the barber who cut my hair was really respectful and welcoming.

YQ Tan Ryan helped me make a very satisfactory hair style. This shop has a very cute puppy who will sit at the door to welcome you. He won’t bite you and you can interact with him.

Heidi BENNETT This salon is fantastic. The staff is so nice and they are all so knowledgeable what ever questions you might have they have the answers. My stylist was a super Kool and really pretty gal named Sydney she was funny,and gave me exactly what I wanted . I highly recommend miss Sydney Williams a great hair stylist at the Fantastic Picassos in Davis ca.

Tara Ozes I’ve been going to Helena for two years. She does a fantastic job on my medium length haircut, no matter what style I’ve requested over the years. I travel from the Bay Area, and it’s always worth the trip!

Gloria Mesa This place is awesome. It was recommended to me by another hair dresser who had recently retired. I got a Brazilian blowout by Elizabeth. The moment you enter the atmosphere its electric. There is music playing and even some spurts of dancing and singing. There was a little shop dog named Diego. However, I didnt get photos of him since he was only a pup and I didnt want to spook him, but he was adorable. Although the shop was busy, the workers stayed attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place and am even excited about my next appointment.

Woodall Gabriele “Gaby” Demi gave me the best perm ever - at a really low price to boot! I had brought a picture of the kind of curl I was hoping for and the perm Demi gave me duplicated the type and degree of curl in the picture perfectly!! Bonus: When I left the salon, my hair smelled freshly shampooed, with none of that chemical smell that often lingered for days with the perms I had gotten in the past :)

Alexus De León I absolutely HATE my hair cut. I went in with hair down to my bottom and asked for it to be a little above my elbows. It was cut higher than my shoulders. After the roughness of the cut, I got home to realize my hair chopped unevenly with my left side shorter than my right, the “layers” to look like steps and the front noticeably longer than the back. Upsetting after reading the great reviews but I will not be returning.

Wafa Hassan This place used to be decent, but now its just about taking your money. I brought my 6-year-old in for a simple haircut, and the barber completely ruined it, uneven, sloppy, and nothing like what we asked for. And to top it off, they charged us $30 for this awful cut! It’s clear they’re more focused on making money than providing quality service. I’ll never come back. Zero stars if I could give them that.
