She listens carefully to comprehend the color and style you are wanting to achieve. Lorena is creative, honest, patient and passionate about her craft and does not pressure you into any other services that are not necessary at the moment. But she will suggest other treatments you might need in order to keep your hair looking shiny and healthy. I highly recommend her services. No one ( not even in Manhattan where I lived until last year ) was able to give me the style I requested . Lorena gave me the exact style I wanted and modified it to suit me. I’ve had highlights many times in the past but never had balayage . Lorena recommended it and did a fantastic job. She enjoys her work and spent time getting to know me and what I was looking for. Just one regret that the blow out lasted for less than a day despite all care to not hair come in touch with water.

Nichole Great experience here with my haircut. Jenna did an amazing job fixing my last cut which wasnt so great (at different local salon). She took the time to listen and then based my haircut on my hair and desired style. That is a sign of someone who is great at what they do and really care. This is my salon as long as I live in this area, price is great for this area too. Wont go anywhere else. Super friendly reception staff too!

Libby Yatsu Ive been going to Jamie at Maison Deux for many years now, and every time I leave I feel amazing (whether its getting any of these done: root color, cut, balayage). Amazing cuz of how I look and feel but also its just a great place to spend a couple hours too. All of the stylists are so welcoming, and there is a definite friendly vibe had by all. Jamie is of the best, and her work says it all! She always greets me with a smile, and I just love how down-to-earth she is. Another fun perk too - getting served tea, coffee, water - while youre waiting for dye processing etc. Oh and the salon, now under Jamie, has upgraded all of the hair washing stations. I was literally in heaven. They are these fancy beds basically so youre lying flat instead of having to angle your head downwards. Felt so much better on my back. I highly recommend Maison Deux for the work the stylists do and the friendly atmosphere. You cant beat the fact too that its right in downtown San Mateo so you can run errands and grab lunch/dinner at your favorite spot there too!

As a brand new client who was referred by a friend to see OWNER and STYLIST JAMIE at Maison Deux Salon, for highlights, I experienced SUPERB customer service and very PLEASING hair treatment results. JAMIE is a TOP NOTCH professional in her field which is immediately apparent the minute you sit in her salon chair. Not only is Jamie personable and welcoming the minute you meet her, she also possesses a confident "take charge" hair advice styling appeal which is critical for people like myself who sometimes have difficulty communicating with the risk of causing confusion about what it is Im looking/hoping for!!! Jamie proved that she must certainly be a mind reader because she NAILED my color and Im tremendously happy with the results of her "art". "Leadership by example" always starts at the top for me and given my experience at Maison Deux, it was very telling that excellence in customer service and clientele satisfaction are a top priority at this salon. A picture paints a thousand words - I couldnt help but notice each stylist having a lovely rapport with their client which instantly signaled to me how special this salon is. Im so elated that I was "directed" to Maison Duex in San Mateo and of course JAMIE! I highly appreciate and recommend this wonderful hair salon and I look forward to many more enjoyable visits with the complete ease of mind knowing that my exceptionally dependable hair stylist is a "CLASS A" performer! I have had several haircuts and styles done here and the atmosphere is always clean, there is complimentary water and hot drinks, but most of all the service and care to my hair is always at 100%. Delia Todd Great haircut at a reasonable price. Mens haircut is $20. The salon is nice and clean, and it is open on Sunday. Nancy is very polite and professional, and she pays great attention to detail. I was able to arrange an appointment via text message. I will definitely return for my next haircut.

Mitchell Barham Nancy the owner always provides great service, is always positive, smiling, polite, efficient, intelligent and I always am happy with the super hair cut I receive. Prices are modest and an excellent value. Ive had my hair cut exclusively by Nancy for 15 years! Now that she has her own Salon, I enjoy the complimentary tea and water she offers her customers on occasions when I am waiting a few minutes for the customer ahead of me. Her shop is bright and cheerful, clean and tidy. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else.

Rosita Lesmana I got In immediately when I came. The lady was quick, straightforward, and kind. she cut my hair very quickly and good result. Paid $35 for it, which is not too bad afterall compared to other salons who like to overcharge people for a simple trim, especially ladies.

Before starting I gave instructions how to cut my hairs on sides & back most as I have very less hairs on main head almost going baldness here. It is really very appreciable that She understood my requirement without any doubts. She undertook the assignment with utmost perfection. I wish Mayfair hair & nail for best business in future.

y s The lady who did my haircut was very friendly, but apparently she has little to no experience. She made my haircut weird. The right was longer than the left, and some random hairs were much longer. I doubt she is new and has not taken professional training yet. I dont think its a good idea to practice on your customers before finishing essential training.

Renee Celio Great service, easy to get an appointment. Forgot her name, but the lady who works there is very sweet. However, I am devastated over my hair. I specifically showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted and she said she would be able to do it. I reminded her twice that I did not want it to be cut super short (only 1 inch), yet she hacked at my hair and cut off at least 5 inches. It took me 2 years to grow out my hair to the length I wanted it just for her to cut everything off. I know it is not that big of a deal, but my hair is very important to me and I am upset at how she did not listen to my request.
